Hey everyone. I got my bfp after FET last week and will be 5 weeks tomorrow, since about a week ago Iv had very light pink spotting just when I go to the loo, it’s never turned bright red and it’s totally random as to when it happens. Not needing to wear a pad. The nurse who rang on OTD said it’s normal and to be worried if it’s heavy flow with cramps. Last night I went crazy googling and ended up having a panic attack and this morning I’m so anxious I feel unwell, I’m going to the clinic today to collect more meds, do you think it’s worth asking to speak to a doctor or nurse? My scan isn’t for another 3 weeks and just don’t know how I’m going to cope 😢 xxx

Hello, I had light spotting from around 4-6 weeks and was so worried. But I think it was due to the progesterone pessaries that caused irritation, thats what my nurse said. The spotting has stopped and I’m 11 weeks at the moment. It can be a normal part of early pregnancy if it’s light spotting, but definitely ask the nurses or doctor if you’re concerned, to put your mind at rest. Sending you hugs x
Thanks for your reply, I’m using the progesterone up the back tho so I know it’s not from that, they did an endometrial scratch before transfer and I’m hoping it’s just that plus implantation. It’s such a worry isn’t it, every hurdle you get over there’s another one to worry about! Congratulations to you 🥰 xxx
Hopefully the spotting will go away soon. I remember I was scared to go to the toilet in case I saw red stuff! I’m still so nervous, yes it does feel like a never ending cycle of waiting and one hurdle after another. Congratulations to you too, have all my fingers crossed for you 🥰
My clinic has told me I have cervical ectropion which is what’s causing spotting for me. (I always get spotting 1dpt). I think the progynova is what causes it, but I don’t know as I can’t check myself unfortunately 😂
I hope it all works out okay for you. Good luck xx
Hi, when ever there is spotting or worrying it is always a good idea to go to a doctor to easy your worry so u can have peace of mind
Hello, It is scary but is quite common in early pregnancy. I am 5 weeks today and had 1 scant episode of spotting last night, very pale brown. I haven't contacted anyone as I read my local epau don't see anyone till 6 weeks with a gp referral. Unlike yourself, I hadn't done anything to make me spot so not sure what caused it. I thought it was too late for implantation bleeding? Did you have any aches? I have a general dull ache all round my tummy/back at times. I'm sure I had that with my last pregnancy (IVF) but never any spotting. Not sure whether to contact someone. I have my first midwife appointment at almost 9 weeks. Nothing before that as this is a natural pregnancy, whereas last time I had a scan at 6 weeks. Feeling paranoid now although I know it's so common!! Hopefully you will get the reassurance you need at your scan xx
Thanks for your reply! Everyone I speak to has told me not to worry unless is bright red constant flow or if I’m cramping which I’m not, Iv had a few twinges but I had them with my last pregnancy. I can’t remember if I spotted last time I feel like Iv blanked that part of my life for some reason my husband seems to think I did tho. I’m just petrified every time I go to the toilet and feeling so guilty that my little girl isn’t getting my full attention. My scan isn’t until the 20th April but I think I’m going to pay for a private scan next week xx
Hi Minnie, I am in the same boat - around 6 weeks and had some very light spotting. I spoke to my consultant and she said it's very normal, only worry if it turns into heavy bleeding. I am still a nervous wreak though! Luckily I have a scan on Sunday so hoping all is well. I would book a private scan if you can, if only to put your mind at ease xx
