Hi
I have noticed that a lot of you have mentioned low AMH, almost as if it has been discussed with you as a problem with TTC.
My AMH level is 10, I have been told by both the consultant at the hospital and the IVF consultant at our first appointment that it’s ok....
Do any of you consider 10 to be low compared to what you have been told? I’m 35.....

Hi there, at my first clinic they didn't even mention my amh, then when we went private the doctor told me I had a low amh for my age (11 at 33 yrs) and I was so shocked and quite upset. They did some more tests on me as we had had 2 failed rounds, (our issue is male factor) i had my thyroid and antibody levels checked to see if that could be the reason for a low ovarian reserve. All came back fine. If they havent mentioned it then I wouldn't worry, a lot of it is so they can decide what dosage of medication to give you, and you might find you have quite a high dose because your body can take it compared to those with high amh. Wowzers! To me your AMH is amazing! I'm 37. Got mine checked last year when I had just turned 36..it was 2.8!!!
Saying that just had my first ivf collection / transfer . I got 7 eggs, 6 mature , 4 fertilised one top quality is in me now from yesterday and 2 are in the freezer. So with your amh you'll be absolutely fine I'm sure.

My first egg collection I only got 2 immature eggs. So it failed. On which protocol were you? I was my first attempt but hopefully next cycle will be great. Xx
Hi lovely, I'm 37 now 
was on short protocol max dose of meriofert 450 for 14 days. My first fresh failed too but I also have trouble with thin lining. I've upped my supplements since then so fingers crossed . Keeping everything crossed for you and sending you lots of luck xxxx
Hi! My Amh is 13 (I’m 28) and my clinic didn’t say anything whatsoever about it. It was only when I went online (good old dr Google) that I found it’s low for my age. I was quite annoyed that they didn’t explain this to me or what it meant (&whether it was possibly a reason, on top of MFI, for our difficulty in TTC), but I don’t think it has a major effect on IVF (or ICSI which is what we had). I had 19 eggs collected, 13 fertilised and ended up with 5 blastocysts. Good luck with your cycle xx
Hiya! My AMH is 11 (at age 33) and my clinic said it was on the low end of normal. Seems like many clinics have different scales. Remember that AMH is just one indicator of ovarian reserve/how well you’ll respond to stimulation. In my case, I was a very good responder despite a low-ish AMH. Best of luck!
I'm 34 (33 when tested) and mine was 9.7. My doc told me this is classed as low ovarian reserve. I have mild endometriosis and hashimoto's thyroiditis which both hinder fertility. We got 4 eggs 1 fertilised and made it to day 5 being a grade 5AB hatching blastocyst)
I am now nearly 24 weeks after our first round and our one miracle embryo (fella's sperm isnt that great)
AMH can fluctuate so dont get too hung up on the numbers. Ask your doc what supplements you can take and what lifestyle changes you can do to increase your egg quality (its quality over quantity)

I have Hashimoto’s and other autoimmune diseases too, and low AMH.
Were there are supplements or lifestyle changes that helped you in any way with anything?
Try have a read of the book...it starts with the egg. Its really informative about hashimoto's and supplements. You can go over board so I just took snippets and did the stuff that wasn't too wacky.

Mine was 11 and I’m 36. My consultant said it was reasonable for my age. I had 7 eggs on first cycle which failed; then got naturally pregnant the following month and am now 24 weeks! So I would say don’t worry, that score is ok! X
Everyone is different and responds to the drugs in different ways. I'm 32 and my AMH was 2.4. At egg collection I only had 2 follicles and 2 eggs. We managed to get them both to day 5 and now we're 2 weeks after a positive test.
We've always been told it's quality over quantity, so just really look after yourself, eat well, Google things that boost your AMH like different foods and suppliments etc, it will all help.

I’d say that’s good! Mine was considered low in the bottom 10 percentile for my age and that was 2.6 at age 35 ... I got 3 eggs at my first round. As someone mentioned though, they will set your drug regime for your individual circumstances to give you the best chance - good luck x

When I went to get tested, my amh was 8. I was 39. I was told this together with my partner’s sperm mobility could be the problem so I started ivf a month and a half later on the nhs as my 40th birthday was looming.
Before going for ivf, we did as much as we could to increase our chances. My partner completely changed his eating habits as well as taking pregnacare vitamins for men. I also started trying alternative therapies and one of them was finding a well known nationally fertility acupuncturist. He had treated a lot of older ladies trying to get pregnant with amazing success rates. Although expensive at £65 a session, I honestly think it was worth it and was a big factor in the ivf working first time.
This was my experience. I don’t know if you want to try it but I’d explore as many different ways to help you along the way way. Wishing you the best of luck x

I had mine checked at 34 and it was 4.8. I’m now 35 and 37 weeks pregnant.
I don’t think your AMH level is low at all, my clinic told me anything above 9 for my age was good.
As long as you are happy and try stay as healthy as possible, you’ll be fine.

I think 10 at Age 35 isn’t too bad at all. I had a amh of 9 at age 30. I had 2 rounds of ivf and the second was successful and I now have a 14week old little boy. X
I'm 33 and mine is 2.1. I also had a HyCoSY which showed I only had 8 follicles. We've just had our first cycle only 5 follicles grew but we got 4 eggs. All 4 fertilised and we ended up with 3 good quality embryos. I've got 1 in me now (in my 2ww (fingers crossed)) and 2 in the freezer for later. Finding out I had a low AMH just allowed me and hubby to make a decision that we needed to start IVF sooner than we were planning to before my levels dropped too low. Quality over quantity. You just need 1 and you can have a baby! We also like other people have both been taking supplements for a long time now and have no alcohol (except a period procesco) and very little caffeine, fizzy drinks etc etc.

Thank you so much, I had never given it a thought about my partner being on supplements too, I have been taking them for months and have stopped him drinking coke for months too - due to the caffeine. I only drink about four cups of tea a day and he doesn’t drink hot drinks. I’ve not been drinking alcohol for months and he only has a couple of beers on a Saturday night. I will get him to start taking supplements! 😁

Yup defo get him involved. Even if his tests results are fine it surely can't do any harm to have him taking some good supplements. You can get his and her packs. I started it from the beginning so we were both in it together. A note on supplements not all are created equal. My hubby picked up a supermarket own brand as they didn't have the branded ones we normally buy. The active ingredients in the own brand one were soooooo much less than the more expensive ones.

Hi Luamber, I was 29 at the time of my IVF and my AMH was very low for my age, it was 6! On my first egg collection, I only got 6 mature eggs, only 4 fertilised and only 2 made it to day 3. It was decided at that point that they should be put back in me as they had a better chance of survival and we didn’t want to chance them not making it to blastocyst stage. I decided to just have 1 put back in, which was a grade 3 which was good to average, and tbh I had wrote this round off completely but here I am sat here with my 8 month old little girl ❤️ It does only just take the 1 xxx wishing you lots of luck on your journey
Sorry I should have said, they did say I would probably get pregnant naturally despite my low AMH however time was against me which is why we opted for the ivf route xxx
Hi. My AMH was 1 at 36, my Dr said that the low number indicates quantity and not quality of the eggs, she also said that the FSH level is also important when considering fertility.
Hey. Last year at age 32 my AMH was 3.5. I had been ttc for 2.5 years with no luck - other than AMH everything else came back normal. I was told this was likely reason i was struggling to conceive but not to give up as it was all about egg quality over egg quantity, it may just take longer that’s all. I was referred for ivf and another consultant said the same - he did say ivf may be more difficult as I may not respond to drugs as well as those with higher AMH so it may take multiple attempts. Well I never got that far, as I fell pregnant naturally and due any day now!!!! Would say bear it in mind but don’t get too fixated on it as it really is still possible! All the best xxx
10 is amazing. Not to worry. I had my son at 41 with a 1.4. Amh is not a factor for you. It’s a great number. :).

That sounds great for your age. My clinic said mine was slightly low for my age but nothing significant. Mine is 8.8 and I'm 34. Your AMH can also fluctuate between cycles. I wouldn't worry with that number. Xx

My AMH was 7 at 40yo. We have had 2 rounds collecting 11 eggs each cycle. I am 13 weeks pregnant and have had 4 pgd normal blastocysts
