Low progesterone
Hi Ttdenny,
I got the same call when I had my FET in January. Started extra progesterone the day after my transfer and I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant so try not to worry!xx
Hi Ttdenny, my understanding is that progesterone helps maintain pregnancy rather than starts it, that’s what my consultant explained. Do you know what your value is? I asked for mine to be measured this time and it’s 104 and no one called me so I’m assuming it’s a good level. I’ve never had a positive so trying to think of everything that could make it happen for us!
I had mine tested a week after transfer and dose was doubled as it was too low. Happily we had a successful transfer despite that and my little girl is now 11 months. Sounds like your clinic is on the ball with this and it's one less thing to worry about (although I'm sure you'll find plenty of other things to stress you out during this process!!) Best of luck with your transfer, got my fingers crossed for you xxx
Hi my opinion is that fet cycles have one and only advantage! You can fix hormone levels before you make the transfer. I had two fet cycles postponed for that.
Hi. I had a fresh transfer, low progesterone (9.5) when I got my BFP and they doubled the dose. All went well and I have now an 8n 8 month old Good luck!
I have never had my progesterone tested. How do they test is it a blood test ? I may ask for this but my clinic seem to not do most things I have read on here 🙁
My clinic also dont test, they just put me on lubion and pessaries and sends me off... i wonder because its nhs
Although my clinic is nhs they deal with private patients too. I have been with them 6 years and they never once tested. Mind you they have never even tested my amh as deemed unnecessary expensive blood test 🙈 My last pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage so this is definitely something am going to ask at my next appt.
Same situation with my clinic. Wondering if that has to do with my CP.. i might ask for a test and offer to pay for it xx
I’ve been with two private clinics. One tests progesterone, one doesn’t. It’s not to do with being NHS or not, I found the more progressive the clinic, the more they run these sorts of tests. Older, one size fits all style clinics typically don’t test x
Thanks Kibox ! It just doesnt make sense not to test right so all you say makes sense xxx
