How should I feel on Day 6 of Menopur?

Hello, I have had 6 injections of Menopur (300 iu dose). They did a scan of the follicles after just 4 injections and didn't see what they wanted to see, but I've started to feel quite different in the past two days, like I can feel my ovaries and they feel full and/or tender. Can anyone share how they felt at this stage of Menopur??? And how did it correspond to how their cycle went that time? Thanks SO much, I have no one to talk to about this.

I was on Menopur and something else and I do remember a sudden shift between day 6 and 7, exactly what you've described, it was really uncomfortable the last couple of days. They weren't expecting it, but I was mildly hyperstimulated, although things had actually looked a little slow at day 6 scan.

I'd keep talking to your clinic, letting them know about any sudden changes. I didn't, I thought it was all supposed to be like that, then the nurse told me off at day 10 scan!! But we had a good result. 5 blasts, one of which is now our little girl and 3 still in the freezer.

Hiya lovely I'm same day as you I think day 6 today of max dose ( 450) of meriofert...I feel like nothing is happening down there ! Only thing I feel is my boobs are a little sore, no scan until Sunday. So scared nothing is happening, it's my first ivf so have no idea how I'm meant to feel etc.. wishing you all the luck! Xxx

It's my very first too, so I also don't know what to expect either. I also have ovarian cysts, so, I tend to have more ovarian awareness with my cycle. I have some boob soreness as well. Thinking all the good thoughts for you! I hope the scan goes well! Mine is tomorrow morning. xoxo

I remember feeling very very bloated and tender I would rub my tummy like I was pregnant haha hope your next scan goes well 💞

Sounds about right. Had some twinges and very bloated even though i was on alot of water and coconut water. If you can try to wear loose clothes (leggings etc) anything that can let your lower belly be. I wasnt in agony and if you have sharp pains then you should contact your clinic. Xx your doing great !

I had one dominant follicle growing on 150 so the doubled my dose. In the end had 8 eggs. That is short protocol x

Hi Luxfleur,

I remember feeling very very weak and tired. Colleagues at work noticed how tired I was but didn’t know the reason why. I remember suddenly swelling up I’m abdomen and feeling very tender down there and looked 4 - 5 months pregnant by the time i went for collection!! The nurse said to be careful with myself as the ovaries are like a “bunch of grapes“ with the meds and it did feel like that by the end! Good luck 🌺

Pretty much what you're describing. I could only feel my left ovary and only got 5 follies with 4 eggs (not sure which ovary they came from) but it was just uncomfortable, could feel it more when my bladder was full. Good luck with everything xxx

So I had my second scan yesterday, and they said that things looked "better" but there were only three follicles that she seemed to bother to measure—even though I could SEE others on the screen. I think those were considered too small the last time, so I guess that is good?? I've now had 8 menopur injections, and my next scan is on Monday. I'm hoping that maybe since it's the same amount of time between appointments as before, that I can get some more follicles to be big enough! I stopped working after the last scan just to make sure I could get as much rest as possible. ALSO started to try the mindful IVF app and really liking the audio clips.

Well, my third scan is later this morning. I've done everything I can to support the growth of new follicles since the disappointing first scan last Tuesday—immediately stopped working to reduce stress, sleeping more, eating lots of fruits, green veggies, fish, especially salmon, avocado, and drinking whole milk the past few days, taking co-q10 as always, doing mindfulness meditation from the Mindful IVF app. We'll see what happens.

Good luck lovely! Had my day 9 scan yesterday, I had only two big follicles and 5 smaller ones that hopefully will catch up by my next scan on wed..I'm on the max dose so know theres nowhere else to go so to speak. Xx

Good luck to you! I'm not yet on max dose, but they have declined to change the dosage at all and don't know why. Anyway, off to the appointment! xo

I remember feeling exactly the same! I remember going for a walk on maybe day 8 and just knowing that my ovaries were ready for those eggs to be collected, I was scanned the day after and was told I was ready for EC. Good luck xx

OH MY GOSH! So I just had my scan and there were EIGHT good looking eggs they could see, HOWEVER...they never told me to start taking Fyremadel, and so I may have already ovulated!!! Otherwise they want to collect on Wednesday. The doctor said she would call me today at 3pm, but at least seemed optimistic that I would be able to try again next cycle, but I can't believe they never told me to start taking the other medicine!

Witam.ja dopueto bede zaczynac leczenie twz mam wyznaczone menopur 300 ,ale wszystkie filmiki jakie ogladam to dawki 75.czyli mniej niz pol strzykawki.Nie wiem oco chodzi z tym i ile tego podac? Moze ktos pomoze?
