Was wondering if anyone else has/is feeling really low on menopur? I've taken 3 days of menopur so far and i've been feeling extremely fatigued and just out of it. My moods really low too. I've just been in tears all day today. I feel like i've got brain fog. This is so depressing. I really don't think i can deal with these symptoms for another ten days or so. I'm feeling really negative about this cycle too, maybe its just my hormones.
Any comments/advice would be appreciated!

Hello... I felt really down on menopur too... I was really emotional and seemed to cry at the smallest of things. I didn’t sleep very well whilst taking it either and I wasn’t sure if that what was causing my emotions (lack of sleep) or the actual menopur... that doesn’t solve your problem but know that you are not alone! I felt the same...x
Yes, i haven't been sleeping well either. Been waking up feeling really hot and then cold again. I have uncomfortable nights, just can't seem to get comfortable. Glad to know i'm not the only one! X
Just downloaded ... thank you. New to all this day 4 ... it’s hardcore ! So any advice / apps truly grateful. PS little brain is about right for my head just now .. #cantthinkstraight xx
I know hun, I wanted to cancel everything on day 2, I literally called my clinic to check my options 🙈I think they have heard it all before. As soon as they asked me do u want me to speak to consultant and cancel things became clear..
It will be shite few weeks hun, but you are stronger than you think. Also please don't think too much ahead, no need for this now. Focus on today and what you can do to get through next hour, next night ect
Watch Netflix, I was obsessed with Jane the Virgin 😂
I have lots of shows I can recommend that helped me to take my mind off.
Do you work? Keeping busy with work helps too. Here for you if you want to chat xxxx
Always love a recommended tv show ... used to make wine my friend .. but now it’s Netflix 😊
I do work ... but today was super hard to concentrate.. massive brain 🧠 fog! BUT hoping it will all be worth it and keeping positive (as well as sleepy and feeling pukey 🤢) .. 🤣
I see you have amazing news on ur profile ... awesome news lovely 🤞🏻Xx
Aww thank you hun, I didn't want to say this earlier but the first 14 weeks of my pregnancy were way worse than side effects of IVF🥴 so think of it as the tester session 🙊 when I was going through the cycle I considered myself already pregnant - had to follow the same rules anyway and also those symptoms. That was my copying mechanism I guess thinking this way helped me, does this this make sense?😘xxx
I am so happy to see that you got your BFP. Congrats hun. I hope it's going well for you. My friend has hashimoto thyroiditis too and so far she hasn't been successful in her cycles. She's had 3 cycles so far. Is there anything you did different? Any diet changes or supplements? Would love to hear from you so that i can advise her seeing as she has the same condition and doctor's have also said she has unexplained infertility so she's putting her infertility down to her condition.
So sorry to hear your friend is having problems, is she on the right dose of Levothyroxine? What are her TSH, T4 and T3 levels? With regards to TSH this must be 2.5 max, lots of clinics/doctors are not clear on this international guidelines. What were her levels at the beginning of each IVF cycle?
I have read all books by Dr Izabela Wentz, it's a must read for anyone with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
Gluten free (almost) diet has proven very helpful for me. Remember Hashimoto's is an autoimmune disease so diet makes a massive difference.
Very important thing is to get TSH levels to optimum levels. Even TSH around 3 will make conception difficult.
Vitamin D and B12 is also a must for anyone with Hashimoto's.
Best thing to do is to be under the care of Endocrinologist as in pregnancy bloods need to be checked every 4-6 weeks. Very happy to share more information or answer any questions I am extremely passionate about this topic. Xxx
Thank you so much for your informative reply. I will definitely forward all this on to her. It'll be a great help. I'm not really sure what her levels are at tbh. I don't know much about the condition, i just know she has it and it's coming in the way of her conceiving.
I think pregnancy makes it worthwhile. Bring on the brainfog and sickness anyday! lol i hope you've got over the worst of your symptoms now and enjoying your pregnancy x
Thank you so much for your reply! I am feeling loads better today. It's such a rollercoaster isn't it? You're right, it's been one hell of a journey just getting to this process. Your post has made me feel loads better. I know i'm not on my own this. X
So sorry to hear you are going through the mill on this IVF journey.
I am on roughly the same day as you (day 4 today) .. and it’s super rough going.
Stick with it ... be nice to your self. Get lots of rest... try and surround yourself with lovely people and jump back on here to get support.
It’s not a decision I’m sure you have taken lightly ... so you have already come on a journey this far .. don’t give up. Sending vibes to hope you feel better
Would love to hear how your journey continues ... especially as we are in same day treatment x
Thank you for your reply. I've had a better day today, feeling loads better. What a rollercoaster this journey is! I hope you are getting on fine too? I'm currently day 5 today, just taken my fifth menopur injection a few hours ago. It's great to find someone who's on the same day treatment. Do keep in touch and let me know how you get on X
omg sleep has not been leaving me! I could've slept all day yesterday. I was just so sleepy and tired, i did nothing productive other than lie on the sofa and watch tele lol. I hope you're feeling better soon too x
That’s exactly what you need to do .. chill as much as you can and listen to your body.
Mini warning ... too much info coming up 🤭 ... I’ve pee’d about 6 times in the night! I guess that’s the follicles growing and taking up room next to the bladder?!
i keep getting up to pee too! It's awful. I have such disturbed sleep, but i think it's because i'm drinking so much water. Day 6 complete, i've got my first scan tomorrow morning to see how my follicles are responding. Wish me luck! When's your scan? x
8 follicles (not the 6 they originally thought) ..
Sizes range from less than 8mm up to 21mm (there is only one that size) ...
Waiting to hear if I do my trigger tonight and therefore all comes forward from EC on 18th ... or if to wait for some of the other follicles to get a bit bigger ... yikes!
Do let me know how you got on. Hope you are feeling ok.
That sounds promising. I bet it's starting to feel very real for you now!
I was worried about not responding well because other than a bit of bloating and tiredness etc, i haven't had an indication that my ovaries are working hard lol. When the nurse scanned me she said i must really be feeling it now coz my ovaries have been really busy. There were 15 follicles in total ranging from 8-14. Only 1 being at 14, the rest at about 8, 9, 10. Have another scan this Friday.
Wow that’s amazing. 15 follicles is a great number! Well done you 😊 They have obviously been working super hard! Sure they will grow some more in the coming 2 days too.
I will have everything crossed for you too. Thanks for your lovely message.
Good luck for Friday ... I will be in then too. Xx
That's brilliant! Hopefully you'll get more. There's never knowing is there. Even with someone with loads of follicles, you just don't know what quality they are and whether they'll get through all the different stages they need to for transfer. There's always an uncertainty.
And yes, you're right. It's definitely quality over quantity. You just need 1 good egg.
Today went okay. 13 follicles now that are good enough for collection, but because i have endometriosis, i'm really worried about their quality. Will just take it as it comes. Let me know how you get on xxx
13 that’s a great number .. do keep checking in (if you want to) ... and keep me updated.
I am sending positivity to your follicles and eggs and mine too right now ... this process has definitely been a tough one ... but you have almost done the physically hard bit now 🤞🏻🙏🏼 xx
