2nd cycle 1st day menopur - great video to watch for any first timers!

Well I still hate doing the menopur but I have found a better video which I wish I’d watched before my injection!! Sharing here so others can benefit! This is not how I remember my clinic showing but they did only use water.

This video is excellent. My clinic gave me a leaflet all about the Ferring for fertility website in my introduction pack when I finest started ivf.

I’m on day 4 of menopur 75iu x4. 2 injections every night 😬 hope your first injection went ok today xx

I’m on 75iu x3 my problems is lots of air but hopefully that will not happen tomorrow! I’m also on two injections as the other one is buserelin. Do them in my tummy as it bruises less. Is this your first ivf?

Yeah, I had a nightmare with air bubbles in mine today 😩 nearly had a slight melt down, but managed to calm myself down a little. Oops.

I do the menopur in thigh, but when I start taking cetrotide I’ll be injecting that into tummy. Joy ☺️

This is still technically my first cycle as last cycle was cancelled half way through stimms due to poor response.

My air bubbles also gave me a lot of grief! I’m second cycle so thought I would be an expert as I only had one natural mandatory cycle in between. I don’t get cetrotide just an HCg ovitrelle along with the final buserelin and menopur 2 days before egg collection. Hopefully we can be 2ww buddies I’ve already decided I’m having the full time off as sick which I did on my first cycle too, too stressful to work xxx

I’ve got week of collection and transfer booked off, but that’s it sadly. I’ll see how I go in the 2ww. Work are really good and incredibly supportive, so I’m sure they will understand why I will need to take it a little easier.

What happened with your first cycle, if you don’t mind my asking?

I originally booked holiday but then realised I could self cert sick for first week and got a sick note from the docs for 2nd week. Told work it will be the same this time and they are fully behind me. I had two embryos put back day 3 but they didn’t take xxx

Absolutely. I’ve got acupuncture on Monday after my day 7 scan, so hoping that will help calm me down a little too.

Positivity is key. We can do this!
