We are trying to conceive. So far no luck & i’m currently on my period. We got told to try vitamins to help - I have ordered ‘ seven seas trying for a baby ‘ and for my partner we ordered Fertil Male Fertility ... has anyone ever tried them? X

I haven’t tried either of those, I just bought a generic vitamin for conceiving from the supermarket. Vitamins may not help you conceive specifically but are known to help reduce the risks of certain things when you do fall pregnant. How long have you been trying for? x
I wasn’t sure as I’m new to all this. I was so naive with the whole ‘ have sex you’ll get pregant’ as silly as it sounds 🤦🏻♀️ my last injection Was October 2018 and then it really messed my cycle up, so really we’ve been trying from then but just regular sex not trying trying && I went doctors cause a period would come and then wouldn’t then would... so she put me on a 3 month pill to get it back to normal && then i had 2 Periods a month then a 3 month gap of no period!! Then it’s come back last month and currently on now but all on time and stuff so we class these last two months as trying... x x x
I know how worrying it can be, but two months is no time at all. It can take a healthy couple on average a year to get pregnant and in any month you only have a 25% chance of getting pregnant. What I would try and do is not get too caught up in the beginning of doing ovulation tests and temperature monitoring, because you haven’t been trying for very long and, if it does take that little bit longer it can turn into a bit of an obsession which removes any ounce of fun you might have. The advice I got from my gp is try every 2-3 days throughout your entire cycle and that will give you the best chance of falling pregnant. Tell your other half to not put anything warm on his lap, like a laptop as that can affect sperm quality x
Okay I will do thank you so much for your advice really help me I appreciate it all xxx
Hey corgid. If you are under 35 try a few months and as we hopefully go into normality again you can start having a conversation with your gp. I never really had a textbook period when i came off the pill more than 3 years ago and i wouldnt wait more than a year to see if it normalises. If you are over 35 start talking about it to your gp after 6 months. Maybe it is a very easy step you have to take to normalise your cycles and or maybe it isnt even you x
