Clomid

Due to start Clomid on my next cycle to see if we have any luck with this, a little about me- I am 24 with low AMH and mild endometriosis, do I have a chance? I’m having blood tests on CD21 to see if the medication is working.

I’m using a clearblue connect ovulation app at the minute.

I have already had 2 failed ivf cycles, and my egg quality was poor. So I requested if I could try Clomid before I do another cycle, which I plan on doing next year.

Also, is it possible that I ovulate more than one egg on each cycle?

Thanks ladies x

Hi. Good luck on your clomid cycles. I dont have any experience with clomid itself (so not sure if that makes you ovulate 2 eggs, but its usually just 1 in normal circumstances, but just to give you some hope....

I'm 34 (today actually lol) with low AMH (9.7) and mild endo (ovarian cyst removal 1yr ago) which resulted in some of my ovary being removed with it and my other ovary being quite 'flat'and containing less follicles.

I had a natural pregnancy 2 years ago, even with partner having low sperm count (unfortunately MMC, likely due to thyroid).

First IVF cycle in Feb this year, got 4 eggs (gutted there werent more, naturally) only 1 fertilised, but it became a top quality 5 day blastocyst and I'm currently 15 weeks.

So it can be done. And age is on your side, so despite less eggs, they should be good quality.

Good luck to you lovely xxx

I fell pregnant on my 4th cycle of clomid. I was on it due to pcos. I had regular scans to check the follicle growth after taking the tablets and then I had to have ovitrelle injections to ovulate. On some of the cycles, I had more than 1 large follicle so I did release more than 1 egg per cycle so there was a chance of multiple pregnancies.

When taking the tablets, I had very strong hot flushes but other than that, they were fine.

I hope this helps and good luck x

Had a terrible experience. It caused cysts and 2 cancelled cycles. I will never want to take this cheap drug again

Hi Abs,

Yes you can release more than 1 egg per cycle on clomid. It wasn’t a drug that worked for me personally but there are several ladies on here who have had success with it so good luck! X

Hi 👋 i didnt had success with clomid. Did 6 rounds on 50mg. Just had one 21 day blood test on first round which was “normal” so it wasnt reason to increase my dosage. Had no scans etc. So really not sure if i ovulated proper. I hope it works for you. I didnt had much side affects other than less CM. So you might consider a lubricant x

Hi,

I am in a similar boat to you .. this month is my last round of 6 on using clomid hopefuly this is the lucky month ... I am 24 and my hormones level which ever the correct name it is is at a 7 so I wasnt ovulating at I went for my first scan and they said that the medication is working my hormones are at a 179 and its helping me to ovulate and I am on 50g once a day. After the first round when you go for your scan they will be able to tell you if your ovulating and if the medication is working .... yes clomid can make you produce 2 eggs as its forcing your body to ovulate.

I hope this works for you and I hope this gave some comfort xxx
