Will the hospital contact us

Hey wanted to find out my ivf treatment was cancelled due to coronvirus in march, as they will be reopening tomorrow, will the hospital contact us themselves or do we phone them up. Thanks

Hey, I’ve been told that the fertility clinics can apply to re start treatment from 12th May and then the HFEA have up to 5 days to approve so should hear from the clinic anytime from 18th May. They have a priority list in place so for those who had their treatments cancelled, they will likely be called first. I’m sure all clinics will be slightly different but I hope that helps

No, I wasn’t quite ready was still waiting for the nurse appointment so I’ll be a little further down the line. Just seen Daisys reply - probably worth checking with your clinic next week. X

My clinic isn’t contacting anyone - you have to call them and they just keep saying call back in two weeks and they should know more! They confirmed they won’t contact and I have to keep checking with them x

yes i have contacted the clinic too. the website has vague updates but i have contacted them with questions. it feels very uncertain, some staff furloughed, some redployed to nhs, i would have thought that patients should be contacted , maybe they will be in due course after the clinics have planned treatments baring in mind there will back log now because of the shut down , maybe the staff are not working atm to do this , I dont know , just all very difficult for people and probably very challenging for staff too, but i would say contact them and get as much information as possible / you feel you need atm, x

Check to see if they have an update online. When my treatment was cancelled they called me to tell me and they said that when they restarted it would be done in order of the treatments that were cancelled. Their website also confirms they will contact us once they are able to restart (No dates as to when though as they have stuff to implement before they can open)

Depends on your clinic. Check their website first and, if you don't get clarity from it, be proactive and call. Some clinics expect you to contact them.
