Corona and surrogacy abroad. I am worried

Hey there. As you know, our surrogacy program started 5 months ago and now our lovely surrogate is 13 weeks pregnant. I am a bit superstitious and I didn't want to tell that somebody until at least 6th month... But now I am really nervous because of the Corona situation! Ukraine, where my clinic is situated, has closed the borders and the Intended Parents just can't come here. I read some stories about how the clinic tries to help parents to get into Ukraine, but it demands a lot of legal diplomatic work. Some parents from Ireland managed to get to Ukraine, but they have to be observed in a special place for 2 weeks! It all sounds so difficult and stressful! :(

Well, I know that everything may change before my little one will be born, but what if not??? Some of the parents in my clinic haven't seen their babies for already a month!

I am sorry for this long and emotional post, I am just lost. I even have problems with online scans as our surrogate lives far away from Kyiv. I hope she and our baby will be safe until the end of this nightmare...

Ladies, if anyone is in the same position, please share your thoughts with me. I pray for best, let's stay strong xx

Congratulations on your pregnancy by surrogate! Can't imagine how stressed and confused, and helpless you feel right now, and worried about the future of how and when you will get to see your baby. I am so hopeful that things will start changing in the coming weeks, and luckily you have some months for things to change around, but you're right, we just don't know what's happening. Sorry that you're going through this. xxx

Congratulations on the pregnancy first and foremost. I know its easier said than done but try and hope for the best for surrogate and baby. Everything will be settled before your baby is due

Hi SunnyDream. I can't imagine how anxious you must be feeling, but your little one isn't due for some time yet, and your clinic in the Ukraine will, I'm sure, be doing every they can to make you you can get over there safely, when the time comes. Thinking of you. Diane

Hello, my dear.

I've also made my baby in Ukraine. Everything depends on which clinic are you on. All of them fight coronavirus in other ways. For example, some of them isolate newborn children, some of them isolate working stuff.

But it's gonna be okay, I'm sure. Professionals work on solving this problem.
