My period finally arrived two weeks after EC (freeze-all cycle) and it is agony!! My period has always been painful, but this is something else! Stabbing pains, painkillers won't kick in...
Has anyone else had a really painful period after egg collection?
Sorry my love I have not had this. I'm usually quite positive on all these changes and ups and downs, but this doesn't sound great to be fair.... Have you been able to contact your clinic?
I did a freeze all cycle in November and the period after was honestly the worst I’ve ever had! Really feel for you but hopefully should just be a one off xx
Sorry hun no...but my 2nd egg collection was very painful...I think its probably very sore after that as everything must be moving around...xx try hot water bottle strong pain killers and drink more water to flush it all out...speak to Gp or clinic on Tues. Xx
Hi Anna, mine was horrendously painful , I’d had collection and FET, FET obviously hadn’t worked as 8 days later I started to bleed. I was in agony worse still I’m on the road usually for work and I was over 2 hours drive from home which turned out to be 3 with traffic ,I was crippled with pain, literally was having hot sweats with the pain. usually Anadin extra Work but in the end I checked and was told i could have cocodomol even that didn’t touch it at first. I literally got in from work took the cocodomol and went to bed - I think it’s all of the effects of every thing our poor ovaries had gone through prior to that! At least you know can use safely use some heat if your embryo was frozen and not transferred and get some strong painkillers. Hope someone is there to give you some tlc xxx
Thanks so much Luna - sounds horrendous!! Thank goodness the extreme pain stopped last night.....never ending isn't it?! xx
It happened to me as well. In my case, they found 2 endometriomas in the last scan that I supposed is the reason of the pain. It can be also due to the ovary.stimulation. Just wait for next period if the pain continuous I will tell your doctor.
