I had my EC today, we’re on our second round, and the pain is so much worse than it was after the first time.
I’ve got pain in my bladder and it hurts when I pee, and also have sharp pains in my right shoulder by the outside end of my collarbone . Has anyone else had this after EC?

I had lots of pain after my EC this time round, had to take paracetamol and come transfer I was still swollen and in pain so was told to rest and take it easy. My pain felt like it was my ovaries and my tummy that were hurting. Xx
I was in a lot more pain after my 2nd EC turns out I had an infection and was admitted to hospital for 3 days - if your concerned I would ring your clinic or go to A&E x
Hi WaywardGirl. Ouch! Sorry to hear you have this. I think it is what is known as referred pain or shoulder tip pain. It can happen after an operation or procedure in the abdomen, or pelvic area. Make sure you drink plenty of water to keep your urine a light straw colour. If it gets dark or reduces lots, you must get seen. If your urine starts to smell, you may have an infection. You can take regular paracetamol, unless something else has been prescribed. No anti inflammatories such as ibuprofen. Hope it soon settles. Thinking of you. Diane
