1. Which day can I take a pregnancy home test for it to be accurate ? I did frozen embryo 5 day blastocyst transfer on the 21/3

I read somewhere that 5 day embryos require less time to test as they are older

"If you've had a day 3 embryo transfer, you are due for a blood test after approximately 11 days and if you've had a blastocyst transfer, your pregnancy test should be approximately 9 days after your transfer."

Is this correct?

2. How many weeks pregnant are you once the 5 day embryo is inside? How do Thank you judge how many weeks you are or when due date would be in IVF?

xxxx

If you google ivf due date calculator and put in day of transfer and how old embryo is it tells you how far along you would be

Also I always test early (not a good idea do not recommend) but any time I’ve had a positive it came up 5 days after 5 day transfer my clinic asks to wait 10 days Good luck xx

I had my bloods booked in for 12dp5dt and the nurse told me if I wanted to do a home test the day before, whatever it said would be the right answer. At my old clinic, test day was 10dp5dt with a home test x

Thanks kibo xxx

My clinic said don’t test before 14 days after EC. I have had a positive 6dp5det which turned out to be remains of trigger and wish I hadn’t tested

Good luck xx

I did a frozen transfer with a 5 day blastocyst and they told me blood test 9 days

Thats technically 14 days from EC so the same as my clinic. Trigger is in a fresh round when you trigger to ovulate xx

Hey, did your clinic not tell you when hey recommend testing? My Greek clinic usually say blood on day 9 and urine on day 12. However its hard to get blood done in the UK so I usually just do home pregnancy tests. I used to wait until official test day but no longer do this, I cant cope with the stress. I like to know what Im dealing with however and this is a biggie.....when you see a negative it is gutting, even if you know it can change so Im in no way advising early testing!

This is a calculator that you can use to work out how many weeks etc. It asks for egg collection day and as you had a frozen transfer you'll need to change it to 6 days before your transfer date as this would have been when your eggs were fertilised if it was a fresh transfer. Hope that makes sense. Again, good luck!xx

They recommend 30/3 for a blood test but I don’t want to go to hospital with all that’s going on for no reason when I can do at home so was wondering when earliest I can test for accurate results for a home test. Lovely advice thank you as always Cinderella

Ive had a positive as early as day 7 although I think it would have shown on day 6. However Ive also had a positive as late as day 12. Incidentally my clinic always say to keep meds going until day 14 if you get a negative before that and re-test on day 14.xx

1.Yes that is correct...5 day blastocyst...test day 9 and if negative again at day 14.

2. I tested at day 9 post transfer and on digital test it says 1 to 2 weeks=since conception but actually 3 to 4 wks pregnant...(they work it out since last period).

Good luck xx
