I just wanted to ask peoples opinion on whether to do a new cycle or use the embryo we have in the freezer? Its a grade B/C day 6. One consultant recommended a new cycle to get more and better quality embryos, while another consultant who I saw yesterday said I should give the one we have in the freezer ago and this time try a natural cycle. I have had a fresh transfer and a FET so far. First time I came on my period quite soon after the transfer so was told I didn't have enough progesterone. The 2nd time around when I had the FET it ended in a chemical pregnancy after transfering two embryos.
I'm just unsure what to do next. Do I spend alot of money on a new cycle and get hopefully more embryos or spend less money on the FET with a not so good embryo that might not work 🤷♀️♥️💫

Hi Littlepeax, I’m in a similar situation with two not too great graded embryos left and did ask to just do a fresh cycle as I feel all the embryos from that last cycle aren’t great, the last 3 failed! But my consultant really encouraged us to give the frozen ones a try and again through a natural transfer with no supplements at all. Unfortunately I don’t have a success story to tell but my consultant managed to convince me and my husband that a frozen transfer is the sensible option. All the best xxx
Hi Littlepeax, so we are going tomorrow to sign for the next frozen transfer and I think we are having the last 2 put back together. I’m still waiting for my period and not sure if I will go for it with the next period or wait another cycle as I’m worried that the medication they gave me for the last round is still affecting things 🙈 that’s the difficulty of doing a natural cycle, you can’t really plan it. All the best with whatever you decide 💕
Aww yes that's true, that's the only thing with natural isnt it. I like to plan stuff too 🙈 your having 2 back that's amazing and really exciting. I'd defo do two again if I get more embryos ♥️💫 thanks hun best of luck to you too and keep be updated x
Thank you. 🥰🥰Do u think transferring two increase my chances? I’ve never seen a positive, the idea of twins scares me a bit however, I’m not thinking this far right now 🙈 lol. Taking it one day at a time! 🙏🙏
I think it definitely increases chances, my doctor recommended two to me cause he really wanted me to get pregnant even though most clinics dont encourage it. I think there can be more complications with twins but not always. I had two transferred and ended in chemical so nearly lol 🙏 I have read that theres less chance with two on the HFEA website but it contradicts itself as on another paragraph it says only put two in if you are over a certain age and have failed before to increase your chances 🤣🤷♀️ they just try and put you off
Yeah I read that too... last time they went by the grading of my embryos and said only transfer one as you are ‘young’ but I think as I’ve had many failures now, I just want to give it a good shot.
I’m sorry about your CP. I keep saying I don’t care I just want to fall pregnant as to know my body can do it but I know it must be even harder to know you’ve lost it... we keep trying and pray for the best 🤞🤞
Thanks hun I'll prob ask for two until hopefully it happens (that's if I manage to get more embryos). Yes keep going be positive and hopeful, one day it'll be our turn🤞♥️🙏💫🤗 xxx
Oh I have also opted for embryo glue cz it’s a cheap additive 😂 I had it with my first frozen transfer and still didn’t work but no one knows why which is the most annoying part
Hello! I was in the same situation after 2 failed FET. I have 5 B/C blastocysts in the freezer but wanted to try fresh with new, better grade embryos. However I have been encouraged to try another FET with a double transfer booked for Monday. Instead of going with new embryos, I have mixed things up with my meds instead. Have added lubion injections as well as pessaries and have requested embryo glue 🙏
It’s a hard decision to make! I can’t tell you what to do but I understand the dilemma. When I did my last fresh round, we ended up with three embryos to freeze. When we did our first FET I told myself that if it didn’t work I would definitely consider doing one more fresh round before another FET to try and bank some more embryos. My theory was, I’m 34 and I would love to have two kids so in an ideal world I would have a few Frosties left if I was lucky enough to get pregnant that I had banked while I’m still a bit younger.
I definitely wouldn’t worry about the grading or the day5/6 stuff. Many clinics don’t even tell you the grading now as it can add more stress and all grades can make healthy babies ♥️
Whatever you decide, it will be the right decision for you. Sending you a big hug and lots of luck xxx
Yes I deep down thought this too Kibo (sibling if poss) ♥️💫 I think I will have a new cycle I'd like a few frosties I think it will make me feel less pressure too. Thanks hun, hope you're all good and bubba in the oven 🥰
