Missed miscarriage signs?

Hey Ladies,

So last Sunday at 5w5d I had a little bleed without any pains. Since then every time I go to the bathroom there is definitely bleeding when I wipe, its not red fresh blood more darker and it’s not a lot (more like a tinge) and even though I am wearing a pad nothing is transferring on it. I’m 6w4d today. I spoke to the EPU last Monday and they said they would scan me at 8 weeks providing my test result was positive the day before. I haven’t really got any pregnancy symptoms other than a positive test result and in my head I think it’s possibly a missed miscarriage. The not knowing is driving me insane as I would rather just know if it’s all over. I know they say spotting can be normal in early pregnancy but surely not like this? has anyone had anything similar? Hi lovely, I'm going through something similar. I started spotting a few days ago at 5+2 but had some red blood and clotting. I was given extra progesterone but don't have my scan for another 10 days. It's hard being in this limbo.

From 7 weeks you should be able to get a definite answer at a scan. I would pay privately for an early scan if you can? This waiting is torture xx

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it. We crazily fell pregnant naturally so I haven’t been on any progesterone support which I think has made it harder, I think I would have felt so much better if I was! I think I’m going to go to my GP on Monday and request to be scanned at a different hospital, the only reason I rang the EPU which I did was because it was where we had our fertility treatment but it’s not actually the closest one to us. Fingers crossed everything works out for you, it’s such an awful time not knowing xxx

oh how brilliant having a natural pregnancy 😊 but I imagine it does feel daunting not having the medication and support of ivf. I'm sure you GP will put you on the right path for an early scan on Monday.

When I had my missed misscarriage I had no symptoms at all and I was 10 weeks when we found out- so in the early weeks you literally have no idea how it’s going to go, some women do bleed though and everything is fine. You could book a scan with window to the womb if you’ve got one nearby just to check if everything is ok- annoying your EPU won’t scan you now, all my scans I’ve had there started at 6 weeks xxxxxx

How worrying for you. I have read everywhere that bleeding in early pregnancy is really very common, its everything stretching and can also be an irritated cervix.

Ive had 3 MMC and I never had any bleeding with any of them - so its not always a sign.

Hey guys. I bled at 7 weeks-quite a big bright red bleed and then brown stuff when I wiped until I was 12 weeks. It was a haematoma just coming away. My lg is now 16 months so it can work out OK. The waiting is so hard... Be kind to yourself and I have everything crossed for you both xxx

Hi, I had a missed miscarriage and had no signs anything was wrong, no bleeding at all. In my next pregnancy I had bleeding until 12 weeks and my boys are now 10 months. I had a private scan at 6 weeks to help my anxiety. Hope this can help a little. I convinced myself it was a miscarriage again and worried so much but all was ok xx

Update - Today we had a private viability scan where we saw a heartbeat, whilst I know it’s still super early we are where we need to be at the moment and for now I’ll take that. It all seems very surreal and I think it will for a while to be honest but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who wished me well and took the time to reply, this is an amazing community 💕 xx
