Provera to start period

My period is late , definitely not pregnant. I’ve had a scan and my lining is super thick and not sure I ovulated this month. I’ve been given provera to help things along. Any experiences? It seems to be a high dose I am on x

Hi Chi17 yes this is quite normal, Provera 2 or 3 times a day for a week I guess? Once you have finished the course you'll have a bleed within 7 to 10 days.

If you don't have a bleed then you should see you doctor / gynae again.

Thank you, yes 10mg twice per day for 7 days then hopefully it will come! X

Hi Chi, I was given this to restart my periods after a prostrap injection as they Still didn't come back naturally after waiting a few months. I took it for 7 days then had a bleed about a week later. Hopefully it gets you back into your rhythm ☺️🤗 xx

I use provera to start all my cycles because I don't have natural periods. Twice a day for a week, then my period starts 3-4 days after stopping.

Hi I’m on day 5 after provera, still no period. Beginning to get concerned. Anyone had similar experiences?
