I've been currently taking cyclogest pessaries for almost 5 weeks now to support my pregnancy. I've noticed light pink spotting last week which stopped, I was initially inserting the pesseries vaginally but was told by the nurse to insert them rectally instead. However, I noticed spotting again last night which eventually stop. Has anyone experienced this and should this be a cause for concern?

Hi. Itcould be thar you have a bit of immfevyion. Keep jp with all medication and hopefully all will settle down see your doctor if it continues. Drink plenty of water too. Good luck. Diane
Thanks for the response. I was told by my clinic to monitor it and let them know if any further changes occur. It does make me anxious seeing blood, as I suffered from loss in the past, so I'm trying to remain positive that all will be ok.
Hey lovely,That's so scary but I'd say light spotting is normal. I had a full on bleed which meant a chemical but if you're spotting and it stops I'd say it's nothing to worry about as it can happen. Hopefully you have a scan coming up too as I think they do one at 6 weeks? Sending all the luck xxx
Thank you for your response. Sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. When I got pregnant naturally in the past, I experienced no bleeding at all, so this time around when I saw the blood it made me a little anxious. I tried to come into my clinic this week for a scan, but they told me that they don't believe it's a cause for concern, given that it's a light bleed and these things can happen during early pregnancy. My scan isn't until next week Thursday, so it's a bit of a wait. I'm not sure how many weeks pregnant I am, it's all a little tricky to work out following IVF treatment. I just pray all will be good at the scan🙏🏾
defo get it checked out ask your clinic to do some HCG bloods. Could be just spotting that we never know the reason for and SCH or a cause for concern Ive had all 3 with spotting at this stage but defo doesn’t mean its bad news but HCG repeats should be able to give an indication of what’s going on xx
I'm hoping it's just the cyclogest pessaries causing the issue and nothing more. Some days I will see spotting, on other days nothing. I'm hoping mine will eventually stop too x
I think it’s very common to spot on Cyclogest. I read a lot about it on forums at the time and it seemed to be common. Plus the nurses at the early pregnancy unit told me it was nothing to worry about as they see it every day x
