My follicles are growing slower than was expected so I will be doing 11 days STIMS on short protocol. I will be triggering on Saturday night and Egg collection is booked for Monday. This is my first cycle and very nervous for the collection.
I am a high candidate for OHSS as I have 35 follicles. So having regular blood test to keep an eye on it. Any advice is much needed trying not to panick too much 😓
What size are your follicles? With my both rounds I had over 30 - 35 follicles but luckily I didn’t get ohss. Make sure your diet is rich in protein eggs, avocado, blue milk, and drink smart water as it contains electrolytes which is meant to help prevent ohss.

Is still good. 8-18 mum is good enough if you ask me. 4 days can do miracles. The trigger also gives them a final boost so they have plenty of time to grow more. You can maybe also use hot water bottle in the evenings few ladies told me the follicles like to be kept warm 🥰 this is meant to boost growing as well 🥰
It’s totally normal to feel nervous because you don’t know what to expect but trust me this is the easy part wait till you get to the wait for the embryologist to call with updates or the two week wait 😂😂😂😂 I find the two week wait the worst part of the whole process 💕💕💕🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks so much for the help feeling better today. I’m very impatient so I know that will be hard. But I have got a few books lined up to distract me and also arranged lunch with friends I haven’t seen in awhile. My partner works evenings so he will be with me during the day and he’s great at distracting me.
So nice hearing I’m not the only one cause few people I spoke to seemed to have the opposite problem not many follicles but they seemed to only need 7 days of STIMS.

Hi Pondev. Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well. However, please don't panic if it decided to collect your eggs and freeze any fertilised ones. They will then be used once your ovaries have settled down again. I'm sure your clinic will watch you closely. Diane
Hey Pondev - I really panicked when mine were slow to respond and I had to go for an extra few days. But in the end it all came right and I had a good number of mature eggs. I was also a high candidate for OHSS and again in the end it was all ok and it didn’t happen. They might move you to a freeze all cycle but only if necessary and ultimately it will help your body recover for month or so. Fingers crossed for you and the Saturday night trigger xx

Good luck for tomorrow, hope you get lots of eggs from them follicles! The retrieval isn’t nice but it’s over in about 20mins so just try and relax the best you can x
