Hi everyone, I’m new here! My husband and I have been trying for a baby for 6 months! I know it hasn’t been long but I am finding it quite hard that nothing has happened! I just want someone to talk to!

I’m new here!
Hi Mrs Murray. Welcome. This is a great support group and loads of fab people to get advice from or just have a rant!
Have you had any tests yet? I am waiting to start injections for our first ivf round. Bit scary but also exciting!
Xx
Hello and welcome! Any wait for something you want can feel like it’s forever but take it easy and be kind to yourself
I know how frustrating it is but usually your doctor won’t run tests or refer until you have been trying for a year it’s not fair I know 😢 wish you all the best x
Welcome to the forum, I remember the first 12 months of trying are really hard actually because there is so much waiting and not much to do (tests wise) so it feels very lonely.
The only thing I would probably advice is if you are worried speak to your GP about tests now and don't wait for too long xx
Welcome to this forum! Are you sure you are definitely trying during your fertile window? Are you ovulating? If you are under the age of 35 the gp will tell you to wait and see if you conceive in the next 6 months, unless you tell them you are doing ovulation tests at home and you are worried that ovulation is not occurring. I was 30 year old and trying to conceive for 3-4 months when I realised ovulation was not happening, they checked my FSH and LH hormones and I also had an internal scan and I found out I have Polycystic ovaries! 3 months later my husband had a Semen test to check it he had fertility issues and results were good. I didn’t know then that I was pregnant already! Unfortunately I had a miscarriage at almost 12 weeks. I went back to the gp as I wanted to do the same tests again, I changed my diet and I want to check if my hormone levels are better, they will allow me to do the tests but since I’m 31 and I did get pregnant naturally, I have to wait 6 months after miscarriage to be referred to a fertility clinic.
