Finished Utrogestan Pessaries 5-6 days ago and still no period - Negative Pregnancy Test

Second round of fertility treatment (Clomiphene + trigger injection + Utrogestan (progesterone pessaries)). Stopped the pessaries Friday morning of last week (6 days ago) which was 15 DPO after getting a negative pregnancy test.

No period yet. Lots of pale discharge and minor if any cramping.

Tried the Utrogestan as for 7 months I spotted around 5-7 days before my period so this month is polar.

What’s the latest day my period will show up? Clinic want to do another blood test to check for pregnancy but I’m pretty sure there’s no babies

10 days?! 😩 How did you cope? I’ve resorted to wearing sanitary wear everyday currently. I even wore nude pants today to try to encourage it to start.

Bless ya. Yeah I was getting worried but I’m used to my body not playing ball tbh. I had a failed FET and kind of wanted my period to get some closure if that makes sense xx

I keep seeing 'FET' in formums and have no idea what that is. Myself and my husband are taking a break from trying - it's been a little all too consuming plus I have suspected endo. I've elected to have a laproscopy to understand why things aren't happening for us. Thanks for sharing your experience with me. Wishing you and your partner the best of luck on your journey x

Oh sorry ‘ frozen embryo transfer’ I was lucky to have 4 frozen embryos after a fresh cycle. We are also taking a break over Christmas.. it can be all consuming. Hopefully the laparoscopy may provide more answers... did you have symptoms of endo for them to suspect it? X

Sounds like a sensible plan taking a break. I’ve had a gnawing pain in what feels like my right ovary for the past 7 or 8 months with spotting 5-11 DPO. Plus we’ve been trying since March and February with no success. The pessaries appear to have halted the spotting this month though. Do you suspect you might have endo? Have a lovely Christmas

Well we were trying for over a year but we were both 39 so rather than doing any tests they just referred us to ivf, I did ask about any investigative tests such as endo but they wouldn’t as said it’s highly unlikely as I have light unpainful periods that are regular, no unusual pain or spotting or anything... just always wondered x have a lovely Christmas too.

Hey, hope you’re having a lovely Christmas. Did you have an odd period after taking the Utrogestan? My has been slow and dark in colour and I’ve started spotting, which is not the norm for me

Hi hun, hope you are having a good Christmas. My period took a long time to come but was healthy when it arrived. Have you done a pregnancy test? It could be implantation rather a period? X

Hope you’re having a good Christmas too. Sadly it’s not implantation bleeding - wishful thinking though. It took a while for the progesterone to work it’s way out of my system when they did my bloods so I’m not sure if it’s a hangover from that. Here’s to a a new year and some luck for us and our partners x

Yes our bodies do some strange things sometimes. Let’s hope 2020 is our year x
