I don't know any tips to help with implantation but I have my transfer tomorrow for our FET cycle - don't know how I'll get their the 2ww but will be trying everything! I've made myself up a 2ww survival pack _ new PJ's, chocolate, some hand and foot lotions, relaxing candle, a book and some craft projects to keep me busy and distracting myself from googling every 5 mins to analyse every symptom 🙈
Hi I had a FET today too 😊 5 day blastocyst but not feeling too hopeful as embryologist said it wasn't expanded so I think it's good that yours is expanded/hatching as it gives better implantation chance. Mine was 4AA so I'm hoping it's a little fighter and will hatch but not getting hopes too high. When is your test day? I have pineapple too and ate McDonald's chips on the way home xx
Yes I was convinced I was pregnant last time (first transfer) so I am trying to be more relaxed about it this time. The embryologist even gave us the option to back out of the transfer so I don't think my chances are too good. Although he did say that he thought it was worth a try and he had seen people get pregnant with much worse embryos. Such a lot to take in minutes before transfer. My test day is Monday 16th. I really hope you get your BFP I will look out for your update xx
I don't know why your embryologist would be so negative. You've got a great graded embryo at 4AA and most embryos are not hatching at transfer. Some people get assisted hatching done and when I've had both FET they've been hatching but that's because they were pgs tested and that's basically assisted hatching as they break into the shell" to take biopsy cells. The embryologist even said sometimes hatching blastocysts don't survive the transfer because they're damaged a bit during the actual transfer because they don't have their protective shell...chin up. You've done all you can do sit break and try to relax xx
Yeah, it was confusing. He said there had been some deterioration but that it had pushed that out. He said they expand and contract but he would have expected to see it expanding again now but it had yet to do that. I thought it all sounded really worrying but my husband said he thought the embryologist was hopeful and that although he gave us the option to not go ahead that he was encouraging us to continue and seemed relieved when we said we would. Thanks for your kind words xxx
Good luck with the 2ww, the blastocyst sounds positive! I stopped off on the way home from transfer yesterday for McDonald’s fries and 2 pineapples! interesting mix! Lol xx
Finger crossed hun . No much tips but make sure u drink a lots of water , u don’t need to eat to much pineapple. Eat what pregnant women eat ...rest relax go for walk ...and I know that part is really hard but don’t try to “look”for any symptoms and read staff on internet...that can drive sometimes crazy. I wish u positive outcome hun xx🙏
Best of luck on your journey it’s such an emotional rollercoaster, I am not sure if it has any scientific significance but I was advised to drink milk 🥛 which I did a pint each day and I am extremely luck to have had both a successful round of IVF & FET I really hope whatever you try works for you - with my first my test date was Boxing Day I have never wanted Christmas Day to be over so quickly in my life 🤦🏻♀️
My advice would be to try and have as normal routine as possible and try not to think about doing things too much to maximise it. For my first two transfers I tried every old wives tale/trick in the book it didn't work for me I just worried myself sick for the whole two weeks was frightened to do anything. On my third transfer where I had two put back I tried to live as normal routine as possible, lots of walks, kept myself busy, going for dinner with family and friends and tried not to overthink it too much and stayed away from Google :). Seemed to work for me I'm now 33wk pregnant with our miracle girl. Good luck 🤞 xx
I don’t have any tips.. I have my FET last Friday and was just told to take it easy but to try and continue as normal with rest in between. No strenuous activities!! So leaving the hoovering to someone else haha! I’ve tried to put my feet up but still potter around, go for walks, see friends and family and act like everything is normal so my brain isn’t going into overdrive! My test day is the 10th and I thought it’d be the longest week ever but it hasn’t been too bad! So keep yourself distracted and busy it definitely helps 😊😊 Good luck with everything and fingers crossed for test day xxx
My acupuncturist recommended eating warm foods post FET and avoiding cold ones. Not sure if there’s any truth in it, but I currently have an 8 month little boy next to me as the outcome. 😊 My main advice would be to do relaxing nice things for yourself throughout the wait, get plenty of sleep and keep hydrated. Good luck ladies. X
Best of luck for your 2ww. I echo what most people already said. Just take it easy and try to relax, go for some nice walks, eat warm foods, avoid any hot baths and saunas and try and keep yourself occupied. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼 xx
