3 rounds of ivf about 10k that’s including a hysteroscopy. All abroad. I got my son so worth every penny 😍

We didn’t get any NHS funding because my husband isn’t a British citizen so we’ve self funded everything. I haven’t kept track exactly but I’d guess all up in the past 2 years about £25k. We’ve had all our treatment in London, I’m now pregnant from my 6th cycle, 3rd embryo transfer. We did an Access Fertility package which worked out good value for us or it would have been even more!

It’s a “how long is a piece of string answer”

.... it’s all about what clinics... what protocols... what successes... what makes you feel better about that protocol...

We have spent £10k on one round three failed cycles.... we haven’t Learned anything except I’m allergic to synthetic progesterone, I suffer from OHSS and need a natural cycle as possible.

We are now on our second clinic and travel to London for it as they are more respectful of our situation and don’t push drugs on us

We spent 10K on a 3 cycle 70% refund package with access fertility. Unlimited frozen transfers included. Doesnt include medication, which on my current round cost about £1800!

Did they allow the 10k on a credit card? If you dont mind me asking xx

We got a bank loan and paid it that way, not sure on credit card xx

I think Access Fertility only accept bank transfers as payments. Other parts of IVF you can put on credit card, though.

I’m in the US; I’m up to $40k for 2 rounds and I’m currently 7 weeks pregnant

Hi Pumpkins. Have had three cycles so far. All in UK. First one was I was eligible to share my eggs, and so only cost £1.9k. Next one was free! Our one NHS cycle. Then, a frozen cycle costing £2.2k. We have just paid £14k for Access Fertility 2 year unlimited IVF (not including drugs) and £0.5k on initial consultations/scans. So far in total £18.6k!!! Expecting £2.5k fee soon, though, for a polyp removal and then £1.5k for drugs for the next IVF cycle. IVF is a crazy expensive process.

Around 5.5k for our first successful DE cycle abroad

35k over 2 years... 3 failed cycles 2 failed frozen and still no baby 😔. I wasn’t prepared for this journey when we first started!! But how do you stop when you’ve spent so much without achieving what you want?.....

Oh gosh. Wow, Ruthie. You are one determined lady! We have preliminary put a stop date for ourselves two years from now, but if I'm not pregnant by then.... I can see myself going further. Just depends whether my husband would also want to continue. It's especially hard on the money front as this is one of the very few things in life where you spend vast sums with no guarantee.

We literally have no money left. I’ve used everything to try and get this... last go was put on credit card! I have a feeling my partner has had enough and thinks it’s a lost cause but trying to keep me happy at the same time.. It’s such a hard journey with ups and downs. I’m definitely at my lowest mental state I’ve been in through the whole process but just can’t give up now! I don’t see any other option but continue which is draining emotionally and financially! We will get there 🤞🏻 Xx

I’m exactly the same 2 years £35000 and absolutely nothing to show for it xxx

On the access fertility 3 cycle refund package it was about £14k plus maybe £2 for drugs. It depends on age and test results as to what deal you get. It’s a gamble as it’s worked for us first cycle (all being well, I’m 9 weeks at the moment) so would have been cheaper paying for just one but you never know how long it can take x

I highly recommend Access Fertility. I qualified for the 3 rounds of IVF with unlimited frozen cycles which was £12,000. This doesn't include the meds which cost me around £2000.

I'm currently on my first cycle with fresh transfer tomorrow.

This is so costly

Yeah, like deposit for a house kind of figures. :( :( :( It does worry me what we're spending, but just have to remind myself how important it is to us.

These figures are all very scary. Our last shot on nhs with 2 little embies inside me and I'm terrified of it not working. I would be devastated and we also cant afford these sort of funds 😔😔

Round 1 (mild stim) - £5k

R2 (NHS, normal stim) - free + BFP

R3 (FET private) £2k

R4 + R5 £7k each

Bringing it to a grand total of £21k.

Good God. It's good to think about the costs involved.

Honestly I'm kind of annoyed because you'd think that when you pay that much money you'd get a little more care and attention. The staff on the ground were amazing. Looking back on it now though, the general direction felt a lot like it was a golden money tree for someone.

I have no idea at this point.

First 2 cycles cost maybe 5k because we agreed to egg share.

This 3rd cycle at new fully private clinic, almost 9k (all drugs, sperm donor, ICSI included)

Doesn't matter how wealthy you are, the finances are crippling!

It's a bit like Yo! Sushi. All the dishes in Yo! Sushi seem really cheap, but none of them satisfy so you keep getting more and more of these cheap little dishes until you've spent half your pay packet.

IVFs the same.

About £9K so far. It helps to have in mind your limit. Also we did self funded but at an NHS hospital so they don't try to exploit our desperation by selling us loads of unnecessary extras.

About 20 K with 3 cycles including ICSI, 1 hysteroscopy,FET , embryo storage, 2 scans because of a NHS myomectomy. You need to add in for blood tests and drugs. Credit cards mostly financed. No baby at the end and in debt but am glad I gave it a good try.

We couldn’t get NHS funding so we spent about £5,000 on round 1, £4,400 on round 2, and £4,700 on round 3 which was successful, so just spent a further £400 on leutal support drugs, but will likely need to order a few weeks more I think. These figures include meds.

We are limited in clinic choice though with where we live.
