Hiya, in UK a lot of clinics have a, lot of add ons so be careful... Drugs can be very pricey, my clinic taking embryos to blastocyst another £600, icsi If nedfed over £1000, embryo freezing £600, anesthetic £300etc... I was not clear on all this when I started.... But this last round I went to clinic in Greece and cost all one I knew and paid before. We not allowed to name clinics on open network but if you want to know names of mine please private message.. Wishing you all the best xxxx
Hi- i would say roughly £4500-6k + depending in what extras you want x
I paid £7100 for a multicycle (2 cycles) through access fertility that included everything (freezing, icsi, scans, appointments, follow ups) the only thing it didn't include was drugs and my drugs were very expensive due to low ovarian reserve and they cost me £1300 per cycle. Hope that helps xx
Hello which access clinic did you choose to go to please? Did you have success? X
We went for bath fertility. They were excellent there. We did have success but not in the way you would expect. I started my down regulation injections was waiting for period to start stimulation only to learn I was already pregnant. I would definitely go back there for baby number 2 though. Xx
I’m definitely considering bath. Have heard lots of good things about them. Do you know if their success rates are good? Xx
I'm with Bath, they are very good. No nonsense about them, they just get on with it. Now that bcrm have closed, it may be the only one in the area without a waiting list I think
I am not using a UK-based clinic but did loads of research before making our final choice. I would say £4500-£6000, as the ladies on here have said, there can be lots of extras and although they may not be overly dear in themselves, it all adds up very quickly. Some clinics will offer an 'up-front' package for one amount and that could be a sensible solution for you. Good luck xx
We have paid £3230 for ICSI this includes all the scans ,sedation ,embryo freeze
We have paid extra for the embryo scope which was £380 and the endo scratch £180 we have spent £320 on drugs so far but i have a scan on tues and i will have to purchase more menopur xx
Good Morning,
Firstly Good Luck on your IVF journey, have you considered the Londons Women's Clinic Harley Street we had a very good experience and I am now 24 weeks following our first round, also have you looked at ASDA not for profit prescriptions for IVF it's may reduce the costs,
Hope the above helps 😊
My clinic in London was very clear on prices - they are one of the most price competitive clinics. They have a full price list online, and consultation / clarification on prices once you've had your initial consultation. However, it can be a bit confusing in the beginning; and the full price does depend on the exact treatment you require, extras wanted and also how far you get on the process. I'd say £4500 - £6000 per cycle if paid individually but there are also different packages and variations that can be much better for your wallet! Send me a pm if you want to know the name of the clinic - I can wholeheartedly recommend them. Good luck! xoxo
It's very annoying that the prices often aren't totally clear. I remember when looking the prices seemed reasonable, until all the extras were added - which included the drugs which are crucial! I used a clinic in central London, the total for one ICSI IVF including immunes testing and all drugs including for duration of my pregnancy - so early pregnancy scans and monthly bloods - (I remained on some meds for 32 weeks - was very, very lucky that my first round was successful) came to just over £15k. My son is worth every penny and millions more, but it's not a small amount of money by any stretch of the imagination. Luckily I had spoken to someone who had used the clinic before I made my choice so was fully aware of the full costs. Happy to share clinic details if you want via pm. Wishing you lots of luck xx
I don’t know about all the cost but I know sedation is £350 as I paid for my ET, it not with NHS so they count it as private xx
I would say it works out about £7000 with medication, blood tests, 5 day blastocyst culture etc. etc. The advertised price is for the scans, egg collection, and implantation, so you have to pay extra for sedation, HFEA fee, medication (that’s the expensive bit) and then blood tests. I’m at a London clinic so feel free to PM if you want a recommendation. My advice would be to ask for their price list, mine is on their website but I’m not sure about others, and also go and see it, wherever you go you’re going to be spending a lot of time and money there so make sure you feel comfortable! Good luck! Xx
Hi, we also went through access fertility. Paid £7700 for 2 icsi cycles. I don't have a clue how much it would cost separately but having to pay for everything separately looked scarily expensive. We had to pay for meds separately and we were told max. £1750, but we've already paid £1785 + £400, so be prepared for the ridiculous meds cost. I've worked out that most of the meds are relatively cheap, but menopur is horrendous so if you're on a low dose of this, it might not be too bad
