Think I've ovulated during FET

I'm currently on short protocol for a FET next Thursday (5th Dec). I've been on oestrogen patches since Friday 15th November and due to start my progesterone on Saturday. However I think I've just ovulated today, don't wan to go into too much detail.... Should this be happening as I thought the drugs were meant to override your system? The hospital decided not to down regulate me this time and just start the medication on day 3 of my cycle. If my timings are correct I'll be doing the pregnancy test when my period would be due anyway so do i just go with what my body is doing?

I dont normally ovulate when I prep for FET and I dont down regulate either however I am on quite a high amount of estrogen. Have the clinic had you in for any scans to check your lining at all? You obviously dont want to go into detail but if its the case that your cervical mucus has increased and you have sore boobs then I get this too. If you're really worried, give your clinic a call, they can check for you!xx

I'm on 300mg patches of oestrogen which the hospital has said is the highest dose. I had my scan on Monday and my lining was 9.3mm so they have booked me in for next Thursday as that's the next available date for transfer. I get a jelly blob every time I ovulate and it's just happened again..... So much for not going into detail, ha! xx

Well I dont think you will have ovulated, the estrogen just makes all the hormones produce all the body fluids. Im sure they would have checked your ovaries at scan to see they were quiet but there's no harm in phoning the clinic to ask. Ha ha ha dont worry, there is no such thing as TMI when doing IVF and especially not on here!xx

I always get the egg white discharge during stimulation and never ovulate, so don’t worry ❤️

Thanks Anna, I always try to keep calm and rationale and you'd think I'd learn on my 3rd attempt but apparently not! xx

I am going for my 4th early next year and I find the stress just gets worse! Imagine what I will be like on round 8! 😬

I echo what the others have said, most likely you haven’t ovulated due to the drugs. Good luck with your cycle! I really hope it’s a sticky bean for you xx
