Unfortunately our first fresh cycle has been unsuccessful. The only thing keeping me going at the moment is the prospect of future frozen embryo transfers. What is the ‘normal’ amount of time needed after a failed cycle before proceeding with a frozen embryo transfer?

How long after a failed cycle is needed before I can proceed with a frozen transfer? How different are fresh and frozen transfers?
Sorry to hear about your failed cycle, its always really tough. My clinic were happy for me to start my FET protocol on my first normal period after my failed cycle, so I bled after the fresh failed, and started with my next period. That cycle was long though, I ovulated 3 weeks later than usual so try to be patient. Some clinics want to wait longer and allow 2 bleeds in between, I suppose it depends on circumstances. Worked for me though, my FET was successful and I'm 35 weeks pregnant tomorrow.
I miscarried after my first fresh cycle and then had a FET following my first period post miscarriage (natural FET) and got my son. My Consultant didn’t suggest I needed to wait.
Good luck for your FET.
Sorry it didn’t work out for you this time. I had to wait two natural cycles between failed fresh cycle and medicated FET. Good luck for your FET. xxx
So sorry it didn't work out for you lovely. We had failed cycle in Aug and went again with a frozen round in Oct. Good luck for you next cycle and big hugs x x you've got this 💪😘
Hi loubylou. So sorry to hear of your failed cycle, and I do hope that you have been having plenty of support. You need to have a period that s normal to you before trying again with a FET. Thinking of you. Diane
HI Loubylou,
I had a failed IVF in Oct and was in with my consultant today to see when we should do the transfer, she recommended straight away. She said its good for implanation. I have had only one bleed since failed my IVF, so will have the FET before xmas
