I have a 15mth boy through ICSI and took aspirin from Day 1 of FET until week 11 of pregnancy. I am trying for my 2nd child with a different clinic and the consultant has advised against taking aspirin saying I have no history of miscarriage and it could actually do harm. However a consultant at Guys hospital said take aspirin until even maybe week 34 of pregnancy and I am sure one of my consultants i saw when I was about 6.5mths pregnant said I should be on aspirin. What advise have other people had?

Aspirin or no aspirin
It depends why you were on aspirin. I had 3 failed transfers with seemingly good embryos and my new clinic tested me for lupus anticoagulant which was detected. I started blood thinning injections & steroids. After a BFP I was put on aspirin. I wouldn’t still be pregnant without the aspirin because it appears my blood clots “inappropriately”.
I was told on my last pregnancy that unless there is a specific medical reason for it, it can do more harm than good and the most up to date thinking is that it does not help to prevent miscarriage either. I had it in my second pregnancy for high blood pressure.
I was told to take aspirin from 12 weeks (maybe later) until the week before I gave birth. I can't believe they would have said to do this if it was bad for the baby. But having said that, when trying for number 2 I was wondering about aspirin and decided against it after much googling. I also got a BFN, so who knows. I'd ask your doctors what harm it could do your baby and why baby doctors tell some women to take it if it's harmful. They're the experts and they must have reasons for their opinions.
