I will be starting my second round in 2 weeks (1st round failed). My AMH is 4.2 pmol.
For the older ladies what meds did you take? Bemfola or Menapur? and at What dosage and which protocol? What did you do differently the cycle that succesful? I did the natural cycle first time with Create starting low dose stims on day 5. Any feed back will be greatly appreciated. Xxx
Hi. My post is a little late but I am 43 and just had a cycle. The first three attempts they blasted me with meds and nothing happened. We put the dose way down to 225 gonal f and menupor 75 and I got 20+ follicles. I had empty follicle syndrome but ended up with 3 5/6 day AB blasts. All failed when transferred as I have MTHFR and an immune issue I found out about afterwards. My AMH is high for my age 2.5 and my FSH is 7. I am in Canada and he to ask to be on HGH priming first 8 weeks before cycling. I think that, combined with lower dose meds helped. Hope this helps.

I have started my 2nd cycle on a short protocol with 225 Bemfola. Had 10 follicles but not all have responded. Have EC on Thursday. Trying to positive but so many unknowns. X

I am on prednisone, lovenox (for mthfr) and I just finished intralipid infusion. We are doing a couple natural cycles and then our last IVF cycle in Jan.
Hi Yazlinda! How are you? I hope you are doing well. I am not an expert in this, but i can say one thing for sure IVF is a good option for you. I have always seen people with low AMH levels going for Natural IVF. The medicine also depends on the doctor, not all doctors will recommend you the same medicine. So you need to see what your doctor recommended you. And then the dosage is not the same for everyone, it depends on your test results. So check it with your doctor before taking anything. Hi Yazlinda! I hope you are doing well. There are a lot of people who are able to make it work even after 40. But only a few people who make it work naturally. Many women after 40 try to conceive with donor eggs. Because the quality of eggs reduces with time. Although there are other factors that affect the quality but not as much as this. There's no way that you will be able to make it work if the quality of your eggs is not good. Hi Linda. How are you? It's a great thing you are going for your second round. Giving up is not an option on this journey. If you give up, you will never be able to become a parent. So keep trying and one day, you will be able to hold your beautiful baby in your hands. Don't just take anything by yourself, ask your doctor and confirm it by him.
