After 6 years and 19 rounds of IVF, we finally did it.. It’s been such an emotional ride, with so many highs and lows.
If I can give any advice it would be, don’t be afraid to ask questions, make sure you are trilaminar and if you can afford I would definitely have an Era test and Mateicelab this will determine if your uterus is receptive and what day is best for an embryo transfer as we are all different.. I was trilaminar early and I was Day 6 after progesterone for transfer at 144hours -+3..this was our game changer..
Be kind to yourself, you are all incredible and for the people that make the unnecessary remarks (believe me I’ve heard them all) they’re making them out of ignorance..
Lastly, don’t give up hope, your mind is a powerful tool..
My Daughter Hope is now 4months and I would do it all again in a heartbeat 💓

Don’t loose faith, you can do it 😀 just make sure you ask questions I also took 5mg of prednisone it’s not commonly used as it lowers the immune system, almost acting like an anti rejection.. I think there is so much based on the embryo that the uterus is forgotten and that needs to be in optimum condition..
I hope to see your post on here soon with a BFP xx
Wow, 19 rounds.....I thought I was a veteran at this too! Well done for your persistence and huge congratulations! Ive had more success wih a full 6 days of progesterone but reecntly found out that Im not absorbing it very well so lost my last 2BFPs. Ive have had my dose upped and we're checking levels on transfer day which I hope helps too! Lovely story to read on a Monday morning!! All the best to you and your family.xx
Hi, I’m sorry to hear the you have lost 2 pregnancies, on the positive at least they know your progesterone in low, my consultant put me on progesterone shots as a booster as soon as it came back positive.. and I also had the pesseries 3x a day..
I hope that you are okay? And I look forward to reading that next time you will be pregnant and that all is going well
Thank you, can only hope!! Yes, Im happy we have discovered something else to adjust. It was a big step to even get to a positive after the failures. Im having shots and pessaries too, hopefully this will be enough but can adjust as necessary!xx
Congratulations from the bottom of my heart. I can't image what a hard struggle this must have been for you. You are a true warrior. Please can you private message me the clinic you used. X
Morning, sorry for the late reply.. we used Procreatec in Madrid. They are amazing xx
Wow 19 rounds,I take my hat off to you, I'm currently in 2ww for 5th transfer, 2 miscarriages on and finding it more difficult each time but you are an inspiration. Huge congratulations to you and your family, enjoy every minute xx
May I ask one more question pls. My current clinic, who do offer the ERA test, have said they don't think I need it because I had one chemical pregnancy out of 5 attempts. This, in their eyes, prove that I have a receptive endometrial lining. Did u ever get chemical pregnancies when you did your previous rounds?
Morning, i only had one home pregnancy test that came back positive but then a few days later by bloods came back negative.
I had the ERA test after that.
Go with your gut. If you feel that you want to explore this then tell your consultant, bare in mind though that they usually repeat the test to confirm the findings.. but what it does confirm is the timings of putting the embryo back..
Until I received this test the embryos were put back to early.
There’s so much to consider it’s not just about the embryo
Thank you. This is very helpful. I spoke to my husband about your post as soon as he got up. We have decided to use our one and only embryo left with a different progestrone protocol. Should this fail we will do ERT test next. Thanks for being so helpful
Hi, mine was hermogonist therefore it wasn’t present, however most women’s are present day 11/12 of cycle.. it was only through chance that my consultant was going away and just wanted to see how I was doing before he went and scanned me early (day 9) and there it was I was tri laminar.. this meant that I was starting to produce progesterone early therefore timings were out..
I can’t tell you what you should do other than go with what feels right for you. Discuss further with your consultant and if embryo is frozen then there’s no rush..
Wow 19 rounds that shows such incredible strength and determination! Congratulations I’m so happy that you finally got your happy ending! Thanks for sharing xxx
Oh wow I still cannot get over the fact you said 19 rounds, what a amazing person you are and hard commitment you put in. wow congrats and thanks for your words, I am going again for another round next month but abroad. Congrats on your little one so so happy for you and what a amazing story. xxx
Wow congrats amazing u kept going and so glad u did.
I wanted to ask about ur triple
Lining. Did you have some months were you had it and others you didn’t? Did you do anything or did clinic do anything to get it triple. I’m in a fet and my lining is not triple clinic have said up to me wot I do! But it does lower chances
Hi, I didn’t have it only because I was been tested day 12/15 when in fact I was tri day 7-9 which means that your body naturally starts producing progesterone as this fades.. it could be that you like me could be early or a little later.. it’s better to see the tri laminar than not as it’s like the lining lights up.. also this is better then to start progesterone as you are then controlling the uterus.. Have you had an ERA test?
Oh I see. I’m in a frozen cycle and I’ve had scans day 7 10 and 14 and none trilaminar! Did you end up starting progesterone as soon as they saw urs or did you not end up having this lining in ur successful cycle?
Morning, all my attempts were without the tri laminar except for last 3..
The tri laminar only lasts I believe around 48hours therefore you could be a little later or earlier.. it’s quite fascinating.. also how are your hormone levels are these been tested and are you on any blood thinners? I also found out that I had an under active thyroid in the process which also can effect it all..
That's amazing! Congratulations on your baby. Can I ask, when you say 19 rounds are you counting every transfer including FET as a round? Just wondering because some people only count fresh cycles as a round/cycle so even if they got 5 separate transfers out of one egg collection they'd only count it as one round/cycle.
When you say 19 round, how many egg collections did you have to go through for that? I’ve only had one and got to go again and it’s already making me think doom and gloom
