How to prevent OHSS

Hi ladies,

I am so so pleased to say that we have been given our dates for our next round of icsi, I'm on the pill now and baseline scan next month! I am so relieved to be able to have another go at having our family, although I am petrified that the same will happen again.

I'm so scared it will be abandoned again and this is our last time on nhs, I'm doing everything I can to help towards egg quality.

The other thing is last time I ended up in hospital with moderate ohss after egg collection, and it was just so painful. I have read quite a lot in here about ohss and wondered if you would mind giving your tips to try and keep it away this time 🤞🤞 thank you xx

Oh no poor thing! When did you have egg collection? Do you feel really bloated too? X

I had egg collection Monday feel so bloated and like my ribs are getting crushed when I’m sitting down bad pain at the top of my stomach xx

Have you spoke to the clinic. I was told I couldn't do much other than take paracetomol hope it eases off for you 😔 x

I was told lot and lots of water helps, like 3 litres per day.
