So it was day 9 scan today I had 15 follies all growing good one at 23.5 others 14,17,18 so looks like it's Monday collection! One more set of injections tomorrow and then my trigger shot Saturday night. Just wanted to know if any of you ladies had any tips about the next stage! Hope everyone is doing good! X

I'm a bit behind you. I've had 5 days worth of injections so a few more to go for me.
Are you having EC under general anaesthetic, if so there's nothing to worry about as you'll be asleep. Rest and recooperate afterwards and follow the advice of your clinic. I tried to see it as one stage of many stages, hopefully you'll get a good batch of eggs and good quality embryos. Don't be surprised if they don't all develop, my clinic warned me about this.
Best of luck and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Thanks again pm27, not sure if it will be general anesthetic or not they didn't say. I'm the type of person that likes to be in control and know what's going on but yet I'm a wimp with pain so the two don't go together hehe! Just want his stage over with so that we start to get more information to work with! Good luck with everything this week hope all goes well, thanks x
I'm 3 days behind you! I was awake during the egg collection every time by choice. It isn't too bad. I felt a bit achey afterwords, but nothing too bad. Paracetamol and a leisurely walk made me a bit more relaxed as I waited fir the transfer a few days later. i was really nervous waiting To hear how the egg developed, every time!
Hey I'm at the same stage as yourself .... I had scan yesterday I had 16 follicles in one ovary and 10 in the other a lot of them were 12,14,16 also ..... I got a phone call
Last night to ask me back up this morning to determine whether it's Monday or Tuesday for egg collection ..... This is my first cycle so all is new to me aswell but fingers crossed .... Good luck with ur journey xxx
Ohh that's exciting danielle33375 do you know if it's mon/tue yet? Fingers crossed it all goes great with lots of lovely eggs. Have you decided if it will be a 1 or 2 embryo transfer yet? Fingers and toes crossed for you il be thinking of you next week, good luck x
Was there this morning and again the follicles have improved a couple of 18,19s so I'm going to be Monday morning .... We haven't decided yet I think there going to discuss that with us on Monday however because I'm 26 I think there keen to try just one....have you decided ? Thank you I will be thinking of you also xx
Thanks danielle33375, originally we signed a document to say 1 embryo transfer as in 29 so they reckon just go for the 1 which I understand but I have been weighing up all the pros and cons and my guy instinct is still to go for 2 but I know I may have quite a discussion on my hands as I feel pressured to have just 1. However, until we are at that stage I'm not trying to think ahead of myself but if we get to that situation I think I'm going to ask for 2........daunting decision but I think it would be worse to go against my instinct. Good luck for your journey, keep me posted x
Thanks everyone! I guess this is where the nerves start to set in as I feel it's a week or phone calls and hurdles but at the same time there's hope that it's getting closer each time to our goal! Good luck to everyone else on the journey! Xx
I'm a week ahead of you as I had my EC last Monday. I was under deep sedation so was discharged an hour after the procedure. My head felt a bit foggy for a while after and I was quite tired but it wasn't as bad as having a general. I've got my embryo transfer today as they decided to wait a little longer so they could transfer the strongest single embryo rather than 2.
Best of luck for Monday, just remember drink lots of water afterwards and get lots of rest xx
Thanks LSD9944! Wishing you lots of luck with the transfer - fingers crossed xx
That all sounds great, I'm sorry I dont have any tips, but I will find out when my egg collection will be mon, prob fri next week or mon 16th. So let me no how it all goes
That's the egg collection all done and it was all totally fine. I had so much worry about egg collection but to be honest it's probably the easiest stage as I got put to sleep and woke up back in the ward with no idea anything had even happened! Little bit tender now but it's just like a bad period pain so nothing I can't handle, lots of rest and taking advantage of all the TLC from hubby! Might have a little naughty dominoes pizza tonight but then straight back on the healthy food again tomorrow to prepare for transfer! Ohh today they got 11 eggs from 16 follies so we are really happy although I'm very aware that number can't change tomorrow at fertilisation stage! I have to phone tomorrow to see how they are doing and they might have an idea tomorrow if it's a day 3 or 5! Test date 23rd march and I have lovely gel to take - thank god no more injections! Good luck to all of you this week, I will be thinking of you all! Xxx
