Norethisterone Question

I’m starting my second cycle of IVF on the 17th of this month with 10 days of Norethisterone but my period is due on the 14th October, 3 days before??? Wondering if anyone else has had this as on my last cycle I started my tablets before my period to stop it. Does it make a difference??? I have phoned the fertility clinic to ask and waiting for a nurse to call me back but any advice would be welcome 💛💚

Norethisterone delays your period. It's so the clinic can take control of your cycle. I've been on norethisterone since day 21 of my cycle. Last day of them tomorrow. Expecting period Sunday with a bit of luck x

Thank you for your reply jessy1280 💚💛 I had a period just over a week ago but because my cycle is so short 22 days I will have another before starting my tablets? I just thought I would start the Norethisterone before my next period arrived?

Oooh I see what you mean. Im not sure. This is my second attempt. As I say, I started my tablets day 21 of my cycle and then on them for 9 days before my period. Id say double check with your clinic if you're concerned by their calculations x

I have phoned the fertility clinic today and one of the nurses should be calling me back, I’ll ring again if I haven’t heard anything by tomorrow lunch time just to put my mind at rest x
