Lining decrease

Hello all,

Just wondered whether, in the preparation for transfer, anyone had had a lining decrease before increasing again? I had a second scan this morning and it had gone down a bit. Am waiting for the blood results this afternoon to find out if I just need to increase meds or whether we will have to cancel the cycle.

Thanks all

Xx

Hi friend good afternoon

My embryo transfer cancelled due to same reason two times and plus I have cyst on left ovary which developed during uterine lining preparation and cyst was going on increasing in size and got painful so my doctor cancelled the transfer even though my lining decreased from 8mm to 7.7 mm.

I am now on birth control pills for 21 days to reduce cyst formation .

So now I am taking vitamins ,birth control pills and hcq200 ...

Waiting for withdrawal bleeding to start preparing for lining to do embryo transfer

Hope for the best.

You also wait for the blood report and increase the dose and am sure will work well for you

So sorry to hear your transfer was cancelled. It’s such a roller coaster isn’t it. Seems like there is something to overcome at every turn. Fingers crossed for you for the next round and thanks so much for sharing your experience xx

I have had a cycle cancelled because my lining decreased. Are you doing a fresh or a frozen cycle? It’s normal that the lining will compact and get a little thinner once you start progesterone, however if it’s before that then in my case it only continued to get thinner still. It’s so frustrating when this happens but I kept telling myself I want the best possible environment for my embryo for transfer xx

It was before progesterone. I agree about the best environment. They have told me I can continue for now! Fingers crossed xx

If it hasn't gone down much then it could just be the person scanning has measured thing slightly differently. Unfortunately ultrasound is very person specific so you can get a variation in measurements. How much difference are we talking? Hopefully you get good news this afternoon and just have to up meds! I have had mine cancelled once however my lining measurements have always varied a bit depending on who is scanning. In my last FET one of the nurses did one of my scans and it was 7mm. The next time another nurse got 5.9mm so they got the consultant to check it and she got 6.9mm!!🤷🏼‍♀️xx

Hey it was 6.5 on Thursday and 6 today (day 7). I have the bloods back and my consultant is happy for me to continue without upping my meds so fingers crossed. My blood levels are going in the right direction at least! She did take a variety of measurements today to get an average. I guess we will see on Monday for the next scan. Thank you for sharing your experience. I didn’t realise measurements could vary so much! Xx

It's very person specific, some people are good at capturing certain images and others not so much! Sounds like you've got plenty of time to grow though and it's good that your bloods are showing all is good!! Good luck for your next scan!!🤞🏻🙏🏻🤗xx
