Our 1 embryo didn’t make it to day 5 😢

Feels like a total waste. All that time, energy and money for single egg that didn’t make it.

Exactly the same protocol as 3.5years ago. Differences are low AMH now, on DHEA & thyroxine, and had to take antibiotics during cycle for cystitis. Consultant assured us none of these should have made that much difference 😟.

Wondering what to do next? Give up on baby no.2 and go on an amazing holiday next year or go to follow up consultation.

I’m sorry your one precious egg didn’t make it. It’s so hard to ignore the effort and money spent, I’m 3 privately funded fresh cycles down with nothing to show for it 😩 but I have to just ignore it and think about the future, what would I like to do what am I able to do when thinking future cycles. It will be interesting to talk to your consultant about a different protocol as things have changed since your 1st cycle so likely changes need to be made to the treatment. Good luck with the follow up and whatever you decide for the future xx

I know how this feels, I'm so very sorry. Financially and emotionally crippling. I'm going to try mild ivf next as I get such low numbers anyway. Xx
