This is our first round of iCSI. Transfer on 22nd July had our BFP 2 weeks later and had out viability scan today. It didnt go well. The nurse could see a sac but nothing else. She asked if i have had any bleeding which i havnt, she asked me this 3 times so a little confussed and worried as to why. She said she thinks the embryo just hasnt grown. She asked when we had tested and I told her, we also tested again last week which was also positive. She said my lining is thick and she thinks that a test will show up as positive as we were pregnant but that it just hasnt developed any further. She said she cant be sure it could be that its just still small and early but not to get our hopes up. There wasnt a doctor in today so they couldnt ask for them to look. Took blood which she thinks will show as pregnant and said they will phone us later or in the morning and we will probably have to go back in for another test to see if hcg has doubled or not.
We are just completely heartbroken. We should have known not to get our hopes up. I just dont know what to do now - other than cry.

According to an app i would be 8 weeks today so I am taking it that its definaty over as from what I have read they should definately be able to see something at this point.
Nurse phoned yesterday. She said my hcg is very high and at those levels they would expect to see something. Have an appointment at my local early pregnancy unit for a scan and more bloods on Tuesday. They didnt ask me to go back today which i thought they might. She said she understands its a wait until Tuesday but it gives more time to see if anything changes. When i asked if i should continue taking cyclogest and prognova she went to speak to the consultant and came back to twll me the consultant said to stop taking them. She said that at 7 weeks they would expect the hcg to be higher than it is so thinks it highly unlikely that it will be a viable pregnancy and continuing with the tablets will just stop anything happening. We are accepting that it is over this time for us.
Thank you. I have found this place so helpful foe support and just a place to talk to other people about this journey.
