After 3 failed Ivf I’ve been referred to do a hysteroscopy

I never had one and I was wondering if any of you ladies had to tell me how it is?

I will need to stay home for a few days or I can go back to work the next day?

Hi, I had one a few months back. They do say you can carry on as normal but It was quite sore after so I would just take that day off. Mine was very quick and straight forward. They removed a polyp there and then. It’s a great procedure, to see your womb visually. Good luck xx

Hi lovely, i had one a before starting IVF in April. I had my procedure done under local which numbed the area a bit and helped with the pain. I only felt like an intense crap but felt dizzy afterwards which is normal. Its good to bring somebody with you, which I think they recommend. I took the rest of the day off and returned to work the next day and was fine, I dont recall have much after pain. Wishing you all the best xx

Thank you

Did you have an endo scratch after that? My nurse said we can have one to help implantation

No, I had a hysteroscopy as they found fluid in my womb on one of the scans. It was more so to check that out and make sure I didnt have any further issues in regarding to conception barriers etc. x

Hi, I’ve had 2 due to having free fluid. The first one I was awake and they said they couldn’t find anything but took a biopsy. The fluid didn’t go so I had another under general and they removed a polyp and I had a scratch I went on to have a natural FET and my little boy is now 4 months x
