Nearly 3 weeks - some advice please?

I’ll be 3 weeks on Sunday and my scan with the clinic isn’t until Friday 13th September! I know FRIDAY THE 13th!!!

Last night I had a small amount of light brown discharge on my panty liner and when inserting my Utrogestan I could see some more Brown discharge on the applicator. I panicked completely as was having cramps- but normal mild cramps that I’ve had throughout the FET process.

This morning.... nothing discharge had gone.

Nothing today, until this evening... as I went to take my evening meds, again small amount of brown discharge and on the applicators.

I don’t have very bad cramps, but my lower back is sore and my hips feel bruised.

I did think maybe it was old blood and maybe was just arriving in the evening after a day of being on

my feet and busy, but tried googling and no luck really. Does anyone have any advice or reassurance for me? Thank you.

You’re already more than 3 weeks pregnant, by the time you take your test you’re classed as approximately 4 weeks by that stage already. Spotting in pregnancy is really common and brown blood is also a sign of old blood. I had exactly the same thing when I used Utrogestan and the applicator. In fact I think it’s down to the applicator. I never spotted with Cyclogest. Ring your clinic and run it by then though, just to be on the safe side xx

Oh I didn’t realise that. I just thought it went by the age of the embryo and the days after. They said it would be my 5 week scan on the 13th. Thank you so much. Hoping it is just old blood. X

If you type ivf due date calculator into google it will give you a gestation and approximate due date too.. exciting stuff xx

Hi ya, a little bit of spotting is perfectly normal, but your clinic will reassure you, it could be to do with implantation or it could be irritation from the pessary. You are going to have all kinds of progesterone related and early pregnancy symptoms, I think the general rule is heavy bleeding and or abdominal pain that doesn't go is when to seek help!
