Stopped Progynova and Utrogestan at 13 weeks and now have horrible sickness 🤢 anyone else?

So I've had pretty horrible acid reflux and nausea from about 7 weeks following FET but no actual sickness. Stopped HRT meds at 13 weeks and it's as though morning sickness just kicked in!! No warning just a need to get to the loo quick to be sick and it is definitely worse in the morning. Has anyone else had this? I was hoping these horrible symptoms would start to settle down soon, not start up! 🤢😒

Hi, I had the same, although I was very nauseous and was being sick on the meds, so it was difficult to time the progynova so I didn’t bring it back up. My nausea was the same before and after the meds. But I was definitely more sick when they stopped. I am 18w now and still being sick, although not as much. My partner (who is a Star Wars fan) keeps saying ‘The force is strong in this one’ whilst touching my belly 😂 I’ve found the sickness strangely reassuring and am very used to it now. Wishing you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy 🙂

Thanks I'm just desperate to feel better. I feel as though I've felt lousy every day for the last 9 weeks! I actually thought I'd feel better coming off all the fertility meds but no I'm worse 😂😂

I'm more worried because I'm struggling to eat anything.

I hope yours settles down and you get some relief soon x

Hi,

In my case it was the opposite. I had terrible nausea and vomiting since 6 weeks pregnant. It started getting better after 12/13 weeks. I'm 14 weeks now.

Because I have been having spotting and bleeding I only stopped progynova and lubion injections at 12 weeks. I need to keep on taking Utrogestan but only 2 per day.

I also thought the sickness was reassuring. In my mind it meant that pregnancy was healthy. Drinking water with a little bit of lemon juice or crackers with cheese helped me. Drinks with ginger like canada dry also easy the nausea.

Wishing you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy ;)

Thank you I'm munching on ginger nut biscuits in the hope they help! 😂

It's such a horrible feeling as making me not want to eat anything 😕 x

You're right... it's horrible the feeling. I even loose some weight because of that. It got bettet for me so I really hope it will get better for you too.

If it's really bad you can always ask for your doctor for some anti-sickness medication.

Hi, I had to stop at 9 weeks. Originally i was taking 6 utogestan, 3 prognova, 2 Cyclogest and 2 crinone and 3 lubion injuctions . I developed horrible side effects especially migraines and thought I am oung to die. I couldn't walk and was sick all the time. My GP thought progestrone overdose. I didn't want to stop until baby was12 weeks but I have another child who needs me. I am not sure what is going to happen but I am so scared.

Good luck .x

Oh bless you, it's the worst! I took a huge amount of progynova (10 tablets a day) and had horrendous sickness until it stopped, over night at 14 weeks. I literally rejoiced as I was struggling massively like you are, with not eating and feeling sick all the time. Hopefully you will stop feeling poorly soon. The only thing that helped ever so slightly for me was making sure I ate every few hours, if I got too hungry I found I felt worse! Best of luck lovely x
