Recommended time between cycles?

Hello lovely people,

I am planning my third cycle - third time lucky?

I just had a highly medicated FET at the beginning of August. Is October or November too early for another round of stims and egg collection?

Just wondering what the recommended time between cycles is?

Thanks, as always xx

They say to leave it at least 2 months before trying again x

Thanks so much xx

Did they give a reason why? I assume it is medical? xx

I think to make sure your body has recovered and all medication is out of your system xx

My consultant said it was entirely up to us how long we left it, so we decided to go straight into another cycle after our first failed attempt. I had my period and then started injections again 21 days later.

In hindsight it was quite tough on me physically and emotionally going straight back into another cycle, but we just got our BFP, so it was all worth it!

Normally 3 menstrual cycles in my fertility clinic. However ours said about 2 periods it would be fine, I left mine longer to let the dhea etc hit in. Good luck Hun. Xxx

I had my second round of ivf 3 months ( 3 periods) after my first round. My clinic wouldn’t let me do it any sooner than that. X

Hi, my clinic used to have a 3 month rule for fresh cycles but studies have proven this is no longer required. When I had a FET I waited 2 months.

I would say try when you are ready physically and emotionally. Good luck 🍀

Thank you ❤️

I am not sure I will ever be emotionally ready, but let’s give it a go....

Wishing you luck too xx

I know it certainly is an emotional rollercoaster and am closing to getting off it tbh. I am so lucky to have my 3 year old son from our very first fo at IVF but the last 2 years had 4 failed transfers plus one miscarriage and it’s taking its toll. Am 43 so time is running out next option is donor eggs but am close to just chucking the towel in and being happy with what I have. Just kills me I can’t give him a brother or sister x

I really feel your pain.

This is one of the most depressing, distressing experiences of my life. I am totally lost.

Congratulations on your three year old ❤️

I think donor eggs is much easier. Never give up, if that’s what you so desperately want. There are fantastic clinics abroad and DE means no more ECs 😊

Sending love xx
