Has anyone been on holiday before doing another STIMS and egg collection? I’m probably over thinking it but we really need to have some r’n’r at short notice before we go for it again in May so will be very last minute but I feel like if we don’t get away now there is never a good time during IVF as you never know anything until the last minute!

Holiday between cycles
Yes 100% in fact I have started stims on the last day of my holiday twice. I really think sometimes being chilled and relaxed and in a better place mentally is 100% better than being strung out at home worrying about a piece of chocolate you have eaten! Good luck xx
Good way of looking at it! And vitamin d is good for health and relaxation so I’m hoping they could even have a positive result in making better eggs? Or doesn’t it work like that lol x
Yes we do! I find it really helps to give me space to get my head round yet another negative result. We just book last minute, good luck and happy holidays!
Go while you can - definitely! We’re agonising over not being able to book anything in May / over summer as we don’t know where we’ll be treatment-wise - we’ll have to play it by ear and book last minute, so if you can go now I’d say definitely take advantage of it xx
Yes almost every time between transfers etc we try and go away (even booked the day before to the canaries once) I feel it helps a lot 🤗 hope you get somewhere nice xx
That sounds like bless! Bet it’s so good for a reset x
Definitely go on holiday. We’ve been between and after failed cycles. It just gives you that time and space to process everything and to feel human after eat, sleep, work, ivf, repeat.
Yes!! Go for it! It is much needed! We had an IVF refund package and so when our third cycle failed, we got some money back and we blew it all on a fancy holiday. It was lush!
However, you just have to be careful with where you go and timings because of the Zika virus. You have to wait a few months before starting another cycle of you go anywhere that could be a risk.
