So got my day 2 call from the clinic who said that all 8 embryos split overnight which is great news however they are all an average grade which worries me! they grade in numbers 4.4 being the best. I had one 3.3 and the others were 2.3,2.2 and 2.1.
Just looking for some reassurance that average is ok. Feel like as I had a better quality embryo last time, and that didn't work, so I'm gonna have the same verdict this time.
Just hate this emotional rollercoaster.

Hi lots of clinics don’t even grade embryos until day 5 and our clinic has told us to put little value on it. They say for every perfect embryo that doesn’t work there is a decidedly dodgy one that doesn’t - you will hear loads of stories on here of top grade blasto not making it but poor quality day 2s being successful. So try not to over analyse! The other thing to say is lots of clinics grade differently so 4 might be brilliant at some places but terrible at other.
It’s sounds obvious but the worst thing you can do is stress about things, it’s horrible but it’s out of your control now. Try and keep calm, focus on positive thoughts and get your body ready for your transfer! Good luck x
Thank you, Daisy this is reassuring. I told my acupuncturist and she said that its good news and so that also made me feel better. Will just have to wait for tomorrows call.
Hi, my clinic grade the same way and I was told 3,3 was pretty good (4,4 would be excellent). Don’t lose hope.. as Daisy says some clinics don’t actually even grade them anymore and I have had a bfp from a poor quality embryo in my first cycle which the clinic basically told me to write off! So it can definitely happen.. keep the faith 💪🤞 I have everything crossed for positive news for you tomorrow xx
