I’ve just turned 40 and managed to get my transfer done Monday before everything came to a halt due to COVID 19.
My blastocysts were graded as 5BB and 1BC, I’m now 4dp5dt and in the 2ww hell!
Does anyone have any joy on a BB or BC grade embryo being a success. Happy that they both made it to day 5 but starting to worry that the BB and BC grading isn’t great.
I've seen lots of ladies on here have success with B grades and some with C's. They're back where they belong so they have as much chance as any really!! Good luck.xx
I am in the same boat, my clinic grading was simply a B and not explained well. I am 2dp5dt and going mad!! Staring at my blasty pic and analyzing. Lol I will say that I have heard tons of stories of B working better. My first "a" did not take so we are so optimistic with our "b" 😀
Thank you for your message seems definitely just down to luck it seems! Fingers crossed for you, seems like we are around the same time. Roll on test day!!
I had a 4AB and 4BC transferred together and one of them stuck - no way to know which. She's now 7 months old, blowing raspberries while I'm supposed to be working. Best of luck hon xxx
Thank you MissSaoPaulo, great to heat success stories. Just tough as at 40 the odds just seem so against me. Roll on test day which is a week on Friday!!
I had twins from a B+ and a B (I’m not sure why my clinic grade differently) and now 29 weeks pregnant with their brother or sister who was also a B. Wishing you lots of luck 🙏🏼🤞🏼 xx
I am currently 8 weeks pregnant with a 3bb embie! I didnt hold much hope even though the docs told me not to worry but all is good and I had my scan on Wednesday and saw the little Bub's heartbeat flickering away. Dont worry too much about grades!
I was 44 when I had my transfer. I have no idea about grade. I now have a beautiful 3 month old and I ended up in hospital with a burst follicle 4 days after transfer. Good sticky growing luck
I had a 5 day transfer of a 4BB blast. I have now a 5 month old I know BB is good and most clinics use a grading up to D or E, which are the worst. My doctor told me that usually a (slightly) lower grade blast, like a BB, fights more to get implanted and has a better success rate than an AA.
A boy. The doctor initially hoped for a girl (I have microdeletions that are risky only if the baby is a boy; I only had 5 eggs and 2 day 5 blasts resulted from them, so too few for PGS/PGD; I did some additional tests during the pregnancy to check the baby is fine). She said that there are some studies (not many) showing that blasts that are more developed have a more than 50% chance of resulting in boys, while slower developing blasts have a more than 50% chance of resulting in girls.
So I just had my embryo transfer today ( donor embryo) - I’m also 40 - they don’t tell you the grade at our clinic - as long as it has the potential - only the stage of that makes sense - best of luck xx
My closest friend had a fresh blast transfer that was so poor they couldn’t freeze or PGS test. She said it wasn’t even a C. They transferred rather than losing the embryo. She has a healthy daughter. You never know.
I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant with 5Bb graded embryo. They transferred at day 5 and it started hatching the morning of transfer after defrosting.
I wouldn't worry too much about the grading, there are people who have been successful on very poorly graded embryos. The grading is purely the embryologists opinion of what they think it looks like, we had differing opinions pre freeze of what grades our embryos were so I wouldn't worry too much. Good luck and fingers crossed for a sticky bean x
Morning ladies, for anyone following my post. I did a test on 4dp5dt, although early as this was a fresh transfer I want to check on if anything left in my system from my trigger shot on 9th March. The test was negative as expected. Over the weekend I have had lots of cramping and sore boobs and had a spare test. This morning at 7dp5dt I did one with a boots cheapo which is for when you have missed a period, and straight away it came up positive. Not as strong as test line but line where you don’t have to second guess. After 3 miscarriages I know how it can all change in an instance so trying not to be so over excited. My OTD is Friday 27th so still some way to go yet.
Good luck to all you ladies out there going through the 2ww and for all the ladies where your cycles have been placed on hold due to this awful COvid 19 that this gets under control and you can get started again soon. Thank you to all for your positive messages, they really help in these emotional and stressful times x
Thank you Coles2020. Yes I did my test today which is my OTD and a very strong positive. I have a scan booked in with my clinic on Friday 17th so just hoping we make it to then and all will look good!! Crossing all limbs and digits on this one!
That’s brilliant. I have also had an early positive (6dp5dt) my OTD is in the 31st. So all god willing........ I’m 40 myself so definitely have everything crossed for the both of us xxx
