HCG Test

Hi Ladies

I am very early in this but today I am 4 weeks pregnant and would like to book a blood test to get my HCG levels checked but my doctors surgery are impossible! I actually dread phoning them as the reception staff are so rude! They have a stupid booking system where you have to phone at 08.30am for an appointment that day but all the appointments go on like 10mins so find myself having to phone every day to try and get a bloody appointment.

Anyway, to save the stress can anyone tell me another way I can have this done in Glasgow or Ayrshire?

Thanks :)

it's in 2 days (sat morning)..aaargh!

So you are 4 weeks pregnant but your clinic is such a mess you are unable to book it? bummer!! Perhaps you can ask your GP? Or go to the clinic in person and speak to someone? good luck hun!

Just take it easy, one day at a time!! Did you get something sorted for your bloods? Did you transfer 1 or 2 embryos? I'm doing ok ta. Well I'm a bit fed up having to wait the 3 months to try again but I'm just impatient! Ha ha ha Hoping to transfer around Nov again.xx

It will fly in huni. Keep busy. Are they going to try something different this time? Xx

It looks like I'm not absorbing progesterone (levels were really low last time and possibly why I lost the pregnancy last time too) so I'm having injections and pessaries this time. Just need to hope we can get a BFP again next time!!🤞🏻xx

How many mg were you on before? Was it pesseries? Iv heard of peoole doing an afternoon dose too xx

I was on 400mg twice a day of cyclogest but my levels were super low. I'm a bit crap at absorbing any meds!! The injections should top me up!!xx

Uck wish they had done that for u the last time 😔 I'm on 800 too but doing the pesseries. Haven't booked a blood test. Guna try and hold out and get the scan at 6 weeks 🤞 xx

It wasnt suspected before and to be honest 800mg is usually a fair high dose as it is....I'm just bloody awkward! I think we have pretty much covered all other bases so can only hope this is the final piece of the jigsaw!🤞🏻🙏🏻

Look after yourself! I'll look out for your updates!xx

Oh and another thing. I drank 3 cups of pure raspberry leaf tea a day the week leading up to transfer. Not sure if it made a diff or not xxx
