Is it possible to pay on nhs to do beta hcg test? (We are self funded in nhs clinic) I dont think they will feel it is clinically necessary but I would like to know. I am 10dp2dt and the last three mornings I had positive hpt (with a darkening line) otd isnt until wednesday. (We did reciprocal ivf so no trigger) We had 2 embryos transferred. I know it is very early days and lots can go wrong was just intersted if I could get a beta test done? Or if anyone has had one done on nhs without a clinical need? We did pay for Amh test so I know they do let you pay for some tests.
Thanks

Thanks, I might ask when I go in to get more meds on wednesday (providing it is still positive) they can be a bit funny about asking questions though (which is ridiculous), almost assuming that we are not happy with our care (which we are happy with then they get really defensive. Maybe I just ask wrong!
You can do a beta hcg for £50 on medichecks website, it’s really easy. If you order two together, you will be able to do the blood sample 48 hours apart to check your increase rate. You get the results the next day. So if you order two today, they will arrive Tuesday, do one Tuesday and one Thursday. You pop each in the post as soon as you take the sample (finger prick) and get the results normally by the next afternoon. I tried through a few private clinics but found this was much less stressful.
