Scratch done!

Scratch is all done and was super quick, just a small bit of cramping but nothing too painful. Fingers crossed the scratch and changing from cyclogest to lubion might be the key to our next cycle working!

Thanks lovely, I’m thinking it’ll probably be around the end of August xx

We might become buddies again! Hoping I’ll get the go ahead for another FET when my period starts, ETA 13 Aug so similar timings I reckon 🤞🏻

Oh great yes similar timings, keep me updated! I’m just waiting for my period to start which I’m thinking should be around 12th August! Are you changing anything this time?xx

Not sure - doesn’t seem so. From what the consultant told me over the phone when she told me I had a chemical is that it was just one of those things and next round same process. It’d feel better to change something, but then I guess I have to trust the experts! You?

Gosh you are brave! I’ve been told it’s horrible! Thinking of having it done before my next round. Fingers crossed for August xx

It’s honestly not as bad as you think, I was really nervous especially as I had to go by myself but it was so quick I think they said 15seconds! I was in and out of the clinic within 10 minutes!xx

Ah well done you! I’m terrified of the thought but seriously tempted! Good luck for your cycle, I think it’s really positive to know changes have been made for the next go xx

Thanks! It really wasn’t as bad as I thought, I took paracetamol at 10 just before and haven’t needed any since. Hopefully it’ll work but even if not I’ll be glad I’ve given it a go xx

Really hope this helps with your next transfer🤞🏼 Despite me having 2 x failed FETs my clinic put me off having it, said I don’t need it, not enough evidence etc etc. At least with my recent transfer they actually used embryo glue for the first time. My clinic use it with all transfers now. Do your clinic do the glue ? Might be worth asking about it too if you haven’t already x

Yes embryo glue is used with all transfers, to be fair the clinic didn’t push I asked about scratch, they did say there’s no evidence but that it can’t hurt just feel like everything is worth a go once. How’s 2ww treating you?xx

Ok... 1 week in and hoping no blood so far is a good sign. Forgot just how hard it is though 🙈

It worked for me! I had the scratch and lubion for my 3rd IVF transfer and now 13 weeks pregnant. Good luck! X

Thanks and congratulations on your pregnancy xx

I had a scratch on Thursday. Glad I didn’t read too much about it before hand, it wasn’t pleasant. Just waiting for some kind of ‘bleed’. Not sure what to expect. Will it be like a normal period? Bloods next week then hopefully I can start on the estradiol.

I think I read too much coz I was freaking myself out before 🙈 I’m assuming it’ll be a normal period although I read from someone on here that there’s was heavier after the scratch. As soon as my period starts I have to start my oestrogen tablets. Are you doing a fresh or frozen cycle?xx

Fingers crossed for a normal period. We’re doing a frozen cycle with ICSI. How about you? xx

Core in reply to

Yes a frozen transfer from an ICSI cycle, is this your first transfer?xx

It will be yes. We’re also using an egg donor and only doing one cycle.

How many cycles have you done? I have much respect for the ladies who have the strength to keep going. xx

I’ve only done one cycle but luckily we got quite a few embryos although had to do a freeze all so we’ve done 3 frozen transfers and are now gearing up for our 4th 🙈 xx

Are you having treatment on the nhs or private?

Another reason we’re only doing 1 is because we had to go private. xx
