I was in for egg collection on Wednesday (31st July) which went really well but unfortunately all embryos have had to be frozen due to a build up of fluid in my right tube. I’m going to need surgery to drain the fluid and then clamp the tube closed. Got an appointment at end of September to discuss this further.
My moods/emotions are all over the place and my breasts feel like they are actually going to burst!
I’ve not taken any further meds since my trigger injection Monday night.
Has anyone else had to stop meds and have everything frozen? Just wondering when my period is likely to return?
I feel like I need it to arrive so my body can get back to normal 😩
Thanks for any advice xx

Hi there. Sorry to hear of the problems you are experiencing. My story is slightly different as I had failed cycle. However had to stop the drugs and my period didn’t start for a good 8/9 days. Everyone is different so it may not be the same for you. Hold tight and just try and stay positive. I know it’s hard 😕 x
Hello, thank you for your reply! I’m really sorry to hear that!!
Hoping AF will arrive soon then.
Finding it hard at the min. Finally felt like we were getting somewhere and now it’s all back on hold 😕 I know it’s for the best, it’s just frustrating. Thank you for your advice.
congratulations on getting to the freezing stage. I had my cycle cancelled after 14 days of stims so although it didn’t go to plan it’s prob similar to what happens after egg collection. My withdrawal bleed came after 6 days.
Best of luck with the surgery and when egg transfer comes around. There is such good evidence and stats for a freeze-all cycle! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Hi, thank you lovely!! I’m really grateful that we’ve got this far. Nervous about the thought of surgery but if it’s what’s needed, then surgery it is🙂
I’m really sorry to hear that your cycle had to be cancelled! I wish you all the best for your next cycle 💕
Hopefully my bleed will start soon then. I’ve never wished for my period so much before 🙈😩 xxx
You could look at my last posts for the full story. But in brief, the clinic forgot to ring me to tell me to increase my menopur so despite having over 20 follicles they never reached 18mm. Unfortunately this was not really an situation you could anticipate.
Hi.. We also had to do a freeze all, I know how disappointed you must be feeling. But it will be for the best in the long run. I think my period took nearly 2 weeks to come xo
