Hi ladies. I’m here again seeking your advice on preparing for a FET !!
I’ve only ever done 2 fresh transfer, which unfortunately both were negative results.
So, I’m booked in to start meds for FET starting my next period end of August.
To be honest, I know nothing about FET. But one thing I definitely struggle with is thin lining. Never got it above 6.5 😢😢 so maybe I might be more successful in a FET round.
Can you give advice I what vitamins or supplements you have used preparing for FET . Is using CoQ10 at good idea??? Or is this just good with helping egg quality??
I really am clueless here. Your advice is very much appreciated xxx

Hi! CoQ10 is the precursor to Estrogen, which is the hormone that fattens up your uterine lining. It may help and I suppose it can’t hurt. I’ve seen that micronized CoQ10 works better, and I’ve also heard, and experienced, that it takes about three weeks before seeing any results.
In the U.S. a course of treatment for thin lining is to begin prescription estrogen (here it’s called Estrace) and take it constantly without missing days throughout your cycle, with added progesterone in one of its prescription forms starting around ovulation through the end of your cycle. Repeat for three or so months. Uterine lining thickness is a big deal for supporting a pregnancy.
So if you’re left to your own devices, you could take an upper limit CoQ10 dose every day (50-75mg???) and slather yourself with Emitra or some other reputable bio-identical (very important) progesterone cream from ovulation day through to day 1 period.
Oops! I just read 90-200mg recommended for CoQ10. Please check with your doc before beginning any regimen, but I believe the one I suggested is pretty safe. ( :
Double oops! This is why you should not take blog advice without verifying! 😂. I confused CoQ10 with DHEA. DHEA is the precursor to estrogen and is true of what I described above including my experience. CoQ10 is a cell membrane component that helps produce energy for proper egg quality development. They are both commonly used supplements for fertility. I’m sorry for the error! 😳
In terms of the advice below, if you're having a medicated cycle the clinic should prescribe the estrogen and progesterone to help your lining, so I personally wouldn't go out and purchase any other hormone treatments until you've spoken with them. On my last cycle the consultant prescribed both progesterone suppositories and progesterone injections (prontogest) as I'd had failed implantation following DE treatment and he wanted to ensure it wasn't low levels that were causing it.
The only supplements I took before my FET were a good multivitamin, plus Folic Acid and Vitamin D.
Hi caroliono4. Thanks a mill for your reply. Yes, my clinic have given me a prescription for my hormone meds. Just wanted advice to see what supplements people were using alongside hormone treatment to give some extra support 👍👍
Folic acid was prescribed so I shall get a good multivitamin like you suggested.
I was told to stay on CoQ10 throughout transfer and 2ww as it can assist with implantation process. I got a BFP. It’s also helpful in pregnancy (lower dose from memory but you’ll have to check). Hope this helps. Good luck xx
