Bad AF pains 8dpt leading to BFP. Anyone?

OK, so I'm 8 dpt following 5 day FET and usually I only experience mild left ovary pain around ovulation. This afternoon I've felt like AF is on its way big time. I never experience this amount of pain. It seems to be worse when I'm sat up driving. I just feel so full and constant aching in my ovaries. Personally I feel like it's game over. From pretty much day 1 after transfer I felt like it failed. (know that's really negative)

From things I've read online the difference between implantation cramp and af cramp is that implantation cramp is more pulling, tugging and tingling. All of which I'm not feeling. Mine is more AF tsunami feeling.

I've never been pregnant before. Can anyone advise or have any positive stories leading to bfp? I have zero idea what I should be feeling. I know everyone is different though...

Hi please don’t despair . I got bad period pains about 7 days after and thought it was all over - I cried the whole day . I went onto get my bfp . It’s a good sign I think x x

Thanks so much Lolepops. I feel like I'm just constantly moaning. I never get pain this bad. Like it's not excruciating but enough to feel full, bloated and bad aching pelvic area.

In my heart I think my FET has failed. I'm really low about it tbh. All my tests throughout the ivf process have been awesome and besides my age (38) have a really good chance. I'm convinced it's all over. My official test is Friday. Got two frozen embies left.

I was dizzy in the week but just put it down to the hot weather. My boobs are slightly sore on and off but just think that's the meds. Weird stitch on my right rib beneath my right breast earlier and I felt like I'd done a ton of sit ups in the week ( The mucles right side of my body (not my abs). Not sure if progesterone is responsible. I literally don't have any other symptoms that Dr Google says 😂

Oh please don’t give up yet . I know it’s like torture !!! Two weeks feels like two bloody years ! I think symptoms are down to the pessaries etc . I honestly think you wouldn’t get any symptoms in a normal pregnancy until you have missed your period . Don’t give up - hang on in there . Not long now and things still sound promising to me xxxx

Hi Jessy

It really is impossible to say what’s going on in there until you test but I felt very similar to how you’re describing and it resulted in my first ever BFP.

I’ve had three rounds of IVF and four years TTC so I’ve been hyper aware of how I feel before AF comes.

I was always convinced that I would know if our treatment worked being so aware of when implantation should happen and what to look out for, I never really believed people saying it felt just like AF. However on our last round of treatment a few months ago I really thought it had failed a few days before test day as it was the all too familiar AF cramps, there was no difference whatsoever. But I actually got my BFP 9dp5dt and am now currently 8 weeks pregnant with twins!!

We still have a long way to go but I can honestly say there was no way of me telling before test day the difference between AF cramps and my BFP.

Oh also since my BFP I have lost my appetite and just felt a full heavy stomach so that may be a good sign for you 🤞🏻

I really hope it’s good news for you. Do you know when you plan to test? x

Thanks for the reply.

Huge congratulations!!!!!! 🤗 ♥

As testing on 3dpt and 8dpt put me on such MAJOR DOWNERS feeling like I'll never be a mum, I'm not planning on testing now until official test day on 3rd of August. Also because its slowly driving a wedge between me and OH.

I'm new to this site and thank god for all you lovely ladies for support. It's really nice to know (in a weird way) that I'm not alone, not crazy and that there's always somebody with words of wisdom and people that understand.

Hey. Don’t give up and or panic. I’ve experienced loads of cramps that I would’ve associated with AF but I’ve got a BFP at 8dp5dt. Good luck lovely and step away from Google lol Xx

With both my transfers I had cramps on and off, from what I read it’s due to progesterone. One transfer was a bfn and I bled early and one was a bfp (that I sadly miscarried). I think cramps are pretty normal though so try not to worry xxx

I felt exact same on 7dp5dt- just full of cramps, exhausted and so spent evening on sofa and was upset crying, cos I thought it had failed again. But then next day felt totally fine. Waited to OTD and got bfp. Now 7weeks along.

There is no way to really know- it's cruel torture. Just keep going with the meds, trust your body to do it's thing. And lovely to have reassurance of those frosties. Good luck

Thank you so much everyone. I just feel so depressed. I had such high hopes as our embryo was so good and nothing wrong with me physically. This is my first IVF try and I will keep going until its medically impossible to get my bambino. You're totally right it's actual torture. Thanks you all so much for the support xx

Bfp for me definitely felt like AF cramping but it went on for about a week after I was due. Hang in there

Thank you all so much. I really appreciate all your input. Feel like I'm just complaining but as a first timer I find the whole process very overwhelming xxx

Hun it is just about complaining/comparing and asking people for their experiences and guidance, and getting their support and advice. It’s invaluable what people have to say on here and everyone is amazing xxx
