Pains after BFP

Anyone else have AF pains after BFP? I got my positive through a blood test on the 18th of Feb so am 6 weeks. Have my first scan on Friday and am terrified. Have AF symptoms but no bleeding. Have done loads of at home tests and all come up positive.... I'm so paranoid something bad is happening. Anyone else have this and are fine? Pain isn't bad enough to call a doctor, but back is hurting, bloating, sore thighs, cranky, and tummy pains. Can't remember having this with my son.

I had really bad af cramps after my bfp and like you was worried but come my scan all was ok, and I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant, it’s apparently stretching of the uterus pains, I had achy legs and bad af pre cramps,

Also if you had ivf and had the drugs it could also be swollen ovaries still,

Thanks so much and big congrats to you! It was an FET so ovaries aren't affected. We're your pains quite bad? My back is bad abd tummy feels not as strong as AF but feels like it does at just the start. Urgh I'm petrified for my scan!

Some days was worst than others and then one day nothing, more my right side, I did several test, when I went to scan I didn’t look until she said she could see it and see the heartbeat 💗

I’m still in shock and still get weird odd pains, I don’t think I’ll stop worrying until the baby’s here, good luck with your scan x

Congratulations on your BFP, I had my BFP on 17th oct with FET. I feel exactly the same as you along with feeling terribly sick all the time and exhausted. I don't think my pain is that bad and it doesn't last all day so I haven't been the doctors or rang my clinic. I am getting anxious about it as my scan is in a couple of days but im sure it's all normal. I'm just making sure I'm resting, drinking plenty of water and although I don't feel like eating I'm making sure I am eating something. Rest up and all the best for your scan x

Congratulations on your BFP! When I was pregnant with my daughter I had AF like cramps before my BFP, I was so convinced I was about to come on, I didn't test until I was 5 weeks pregnant. The cramping lasted a couple of weeks. I was told it's just the uterus stretching. X

I had period like pains right throughout my first trimester worried me a little but the scans were all okay. They put it down to the body preparing for further on in pregnancy xx

I've also had cramps since before bfp. They are easing a little now and I'm 12 weeks. Sometimes they were period type pains, a couple of times they were stabbing pains that had me in tears for 15 mins. clinic and epac put it down to my ovaries being very big and uterus stretching. x

Thanks hoping that's the same with me. Have had bleeding today so even more nervous now. Will call clinic in the morning.

It’s really quite common. I did. It’s down to the uterus stretching to begin to accommodate your little one. I worried when I cramped, got used to it then worried when I didn’t! Then I’d cramp and worry all over again lol xx

The cramps are normal, your body has lots of stretching and changing to do. My friend felt like her period was going to start all through her pregnancy (her baby is now 1 and gorgeous) and I get it from time to time too still and am 23 weeks now. I remember feeling like you at the beginning and if anything like me you will worry about every pain, cramp and twinge until he/she is here. sure it's all going to be fine at your scan hun. Let us know how you get on xx
