Embryo transfer on Saturday!

They didn’t give us any more info today but they said the fact we qualify for a 5 day transfer is good news?? I want all the details but she said they don’t do that over the phone. Excited but is it weird I’m glad they’re looking after them for another couple of days? Pressure is off till Saturday now and I’m enjoying being off work and just leaving it all to the clinic! Any tips for embryo transfer?

Us and LaurajaneF too! We get our blood test two weeks after egg collection so the way I see it we’re already 3 days into the tww, the count down has begun! x

Hi !! Great news ! We are having our transfer on Saturday too! That's so funny you are happy they are embaby-sitting them, I was actually dissappointed I couldnt have mine back today 😁 but obviously that's a good sign ... Also really happy to not be travelling into a clinic in 35 degree heat!!

Yeah I don’t know I feel responsible enough haha! Which is crazy considering how long it’s taken to get this far! They’ve put me at midday on Saturday which is a shame as it’s longer to wait and we actually have a weekend away booked with my family! We’ve just been delayed so much it now clashes, but we’ll get there! All very exciting!! x

My tip is, treat yourself to a nice glass of wine before Saturday! Also try not to symptom spot or test early (if you do test early you won’t believe it and will spend a fortune testing everyday). Hope the transfer goes well xxx

Yeah I’m going to try and avoid doing that at all costs but I guess as with all the stages so far I won’t know how I’ll feel till I get there! x

Yes I know what you mean! I tested a day early as I was going away but my clinic has a 14 day wait for OTD which is quite long. I find the first week a real drag but the second seems to go much quicker somehow! Xx

Your clinic will run through all the do's and don'ts with you. My advice - do something nice after transfer to celebrate - lunch or dinner with your partner. Make sure you've got a few treats planned to look forward to on the 2ww. It helped get me through. Most importantly don't test early!! 🤣 x x

Thank you, you’ve been so helpful at every stage it means a lot! We’re off for a weekend with my family after this in some lodges on Loch Lomond but it’s chucking rain! 😂 Hoping that will be relaxing but not what I would have planned if I’d known our dates would land like this. On our way to the clinic now really nervous more just about results and worrying that something stops them going ahead today I know it will be fine it’s just because we’ve had so many delays so far! 🙈 x

Well we phoned to say we were stuck in traffic as someone had an accident but then we made it on time, they were running late and too someone else ahead of us so I’m lying here waiting and hoping my bladder doesn’t burst! 🙈

My clinic is around 1h 20 min so once we where late for transfer 20min due to miss the exit...this one we where only late 10 min .

All went well, very emotional! I took the full bladder thing too far and had to have 3 pees before they took us! We got a picture of the embryo going in but it’s mostly my bladder! 😂 x
