Hope you are all well and feeling positive. If not remember that good days will follow the dark days. I’m booked in for egg transfer tomorrow and wondering how others have found it? Did it hurt?
Also my husband spoke to the clinic and didn’t ask a million questions (like I would have done!). Is it the same as for egg collection e.g no nail varnish, perfume etc?
Thanks in advance for any replies. Send lots of love, hugs and baby dust to all xxx

For ET I was advised not to wear any perfume, think nail polish is fine.
It’s just like having a smear really, except you have the full bladder which makes it that little bit more uncomfortable. Can’t say I’ve even found it painful, I’d say if your ok with smears then you’ll be fine!
Agree with Amanda I was told not to wear perfume, I didn’t want nail varnish on my toes but that was more my own feelings than anything I was told. I didn’t find it painful, maybe a little uncomfortable and you’ll definitely be glad to go for a wee after! Good luck xx
I’m trying to keep busy with work. Trying to keep the over thinking at bay as much as I can. I have a feeling in a few days I will start getting more and more anxious. So going to find some fun projects to keep me busy lol
I’m doing mine tomorrow! Yes it’s the same as egg collection no nail varnish...., I asked the to do it under sedation as I’m bad with smear so prefer to be sleep! I worried it might fall out too actually it’s my biggest fear at the moment. Good luck 🤞🏻Xx
Yeah I know and no matter how much people tell me it won’t I can’t picture why! Good luck for the transfer and let me know how it goes. What time is yours? Xxx
Don’t worry Anna it definitely won’t fall out, I remember asking the nurse after my first ET if I could go to the toilet as I was worried it would. She said it’s a common concern but definitely won’t happen. Lots of luck for tomorrow xx
Omg E that’s my biggest problem!toilet! It might fall out in the toilet🤦🏻♀️ I’m so tired of everything wish I could jump to next week. Thanks lovely xxx
Hi Violet5451 you only need to avoid make up, nail varnish etc during EC because of the sedation. They need to have a clear view of skin colour etc just in case you have an adverse reaction to the sedation drugs (if your nails turn blue that's a bad thing!!). But during ET you're not usually sedated, so make up is fine. Strong smells like perfume and deodorant can affect the embryos so that's why you avoid these on both EC and ET. Hope it all goes well for you, it's a very simple procedure xx
Good luck!! Will have my fingers crossed for you! I sure I read on here once that it was like putting a gain of rice in a bag of sand, that’s why the little embie won’t fall out! Sending baby dust x x x
Hi 👋🏻Yes same for ET as EC with regards to scented toiletries, cosmetics etc. The embryo transfer doesn’t hurt. Just uncomfortable getting the speculum in place. You need a full bladder for the procedure which can be uncomfortable too. Best of luck for today xx
